Job Description


SAIC has an urgent need for a Logistics Associate in Dahlgren, VA to support the US Navy. In this position, candidate will provide property management support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD).  


  • Assist Technical departments by answering questions or concerns relating to General Equipment and Operating Materials & Supplies (OM&S).
  • Utilize Navy ERP to process OM&S issue and transfer transactions - Scan and upload general equipment key supporting documents to Navy ERP.
  • Provide program and project management services and supply logistics services to support compliance with a variety of Department of Defense (DoD) and Navy instructions.
  • Work with technical departments to answer questions or concerns relating to material management and general supply assistance.
  • Utilize the Navy ERP to process OM&S issue and transfer transactions.
  • Monitors purchase requests of Operating Material & Supplies (OM&S) and consumable materials.
  • Reviews pricing, account assignment category, and minimum order buys using various requirements.
  • Performs market research and identify potential vendors if items were not available via Ability One Program or General Service Administration (GSA) Global Supply.
  • Screens purchase requests of commercial supplies and services through competitive open market procedures.
  • Provides procurement support for the Federal Supply System, the Simplified Acquisition Process (SAP), and Navy Enterprise Resource Program (N-ERP).
  • Provides analysis and validation of each request and implement Navy Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and local policies governing material purchase requisitioning, including: MILSTRIP, major minor contract procurements, and requirements.


Required Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelors degree and zero years of experience.
  • Minimum clearance required: Interim Secret, must be able to obtain Secret clearance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Desired Experience:

  • Two (2) years of prior military, Department of Defense or related business experience in MILSTRIP, PDREP, supply chain management, or procurement.
