Description
SAIC is looking for a candidate to perform duties as an Electronics Technician in support of the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV). Your home base will be located in No. Charleston, SC and you'll perform your job in various locations throughout the U.S..
Responsibilities include:
- Installing, maintaining, and upgrading all Command, Control, Communications, Computers (C4) Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems and equipment on all tactical vehicles in the area assigned.
- Performing routine maintenance checks and tasks under using standard procedures.
- May perform alternate equipment custodian duties as well as receiving Mission Support Equipment (MSE) shipments, conducting inventory, operational checks as well as tagging, packaging, storing and onward shipment of MSE.
- May be tasked to utilize the USAF Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) to record all repair and fault analysis.
- May function as senior / lead tech of a small team but should also be able to work alone.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- High School diploma or GED plus formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training, to include: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.
Required skills:
- Four (4) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair, maintenance and checkout.
- One (1) year of practical experience in electronics installation.
- Must have experience with integration and testing of C4ISR systems into tactical vehicles.
Required Clearance:
- Preferably have a current and active SECRET Clearance, but must have at least an Interim Secret clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Prior military experience with the assembly, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, installation and checkout of electronic equipment desired, not required.
- Experience with IMDS.
- Prior experience with maintaining, troubleshooting C4ISR systems integrated into military vehicles and specifically the JLTV variants.
