SAIC has an immediate opening on a long held prime contract for a Logistics Specialist. You will have the opportunity to work with Engineers, IT Specialists, and Customers supporting a Mission Operations Center (MOC). You will have the opportunity to manage a wide array of logistics from inventory management, purchasing, shipping and receiving. You will also have regular interactions with Customers and Program Management. Additionally, you will obtain detailed knowledge of respective organizational practices, procedures, policies, and methodologies pertaining to the management and administration of the program.
Duties include:
- Develop material handling processes for purchasing, shipping, receiving, storage and disposition of property
- Coordinate all aspects of shipments resulting from systems integration and system upgrade activities
- Coordinate and performs all property accountability functions and property management functions in accordance with government guidance and industry best practices
- Provide monthly inventory reports in accordance with government guidelines
- Develop inventory control processes to account for property purchased, received, shipped, excessed, moved or transferred
Qualifications
- Must currently hold a TS/SCI Clearance w/Poly
- 5+ years of related experience
- Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office Products
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (individually) /100 lbs. (with a group)
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Budgeting
