SAIC is seeking a Network Engineer to join our team in Panama City, Florida. This will be a part-time position on site.
Job Description
- This position will be supporting the Mission Package Computing Environment (MPCE) within the Modular Integration Program (MIP).
- The candidate must demonstrate strong Network Engineering skills with Cisco Networking Equipment.
- Candidate will be expected to build, design, and maintain Network Configurations to the expectations of our customers.
- Troubleshooting complex Network issues, network configuration modifications, executing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) checklist, patching/updating Cisco Operating Systems to meet Department of Defense security requirements.
- Troubleshoot/maintain Network and Firewall configurations, write/modify/troubleshoot automation scripts with (Ansible) and others as required,
- Create/modify/troubleshoot as needed technical installation procedures detailing installation processes, create/modify/troubleshoot as needed Integration procedures that detail full integration processes.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years experience; Additional years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
Required Qualifications:
- Cisco Network Experience
- Management and maintenance of switches, routers, firewalls.
- Configure, patch and apply DISA STIG to all Layer 2 and Layer 3 network devices, to include switches, routers, firewalls, etc.
- Network Design
- Write/update/troubleshoot scripts (Ansible, etc.)
- General troubleshooting skills / Technical support skills
- Develop draft documents for turn over to Technical Editors
- Installation procedures
- Integration procedures
- Troubleshooting procedures
Required Clearance:
- Must have the ability to obtain a full Secret clearance, active Secret clearance preferred; Minimum of an interim Secret clearance required to start.
