Job Description


SAIC is looking for an executive-level Program Analyst to join an exciting program in Springfield VA, to serve as a History Program Advisor whose duties will be to facilitate the Government’s efforts to establish a comprehensive history program. 


  • The advisor will coordinated with the ODNI’s Executive Agent (EA) for capturing histories to obtain support of professional historians. 
  • The advisor will leverage this EA expertise (methodology and processes) to capture the history of the Program’s operations, decisions, and lessons learned. 
  • Additionally, the advisor will coordinate across numerous resource sponsors, program managers, and project officers to collect required source material, and will arrange for oral/video interviews, documentary-quality films, and identify options to commission paintings for key activities. 
  • The advisor will also capture key Presidential decision making events and will catalogue and survey holdings in classified POTUS/National Archive libraries. 
  • Finally, the Advisor will be expected to develop oral and written products, briefs, and memoranda for use by senior Program leadership at oversight boards, congressional committees, and other stakeholders at the highest levels of the Government.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience; PhD or JD and ten (10) years or more experience.


  • Shall have experience working with the ODNI Executing Agent for capturing Program histories
  • Shall have at least 5-years’ experience working directly with/for senior (Flag, SES, SIS,) DoD and Intelligence Community Officials.


  • Experience as a research historian or finished intelligence analyst.
  • At least 5-years’ experience working across major military or intelligence activities, such as ODNI, Intelligence Agencies, and Joint/Service Staffs.


U.S. citizenship with an active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for access to sensitive compartmented information (TS/SCI); ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI Poly.
