SAIC is seeking a Force Protection Planner to join our team in Pearl City, Hawaii. 

Job Responsibilites: 

• The FP Planner works in the United States Army, Pacific (USARPAC) G-3 to assist the command and subordinate units theater-wide to prepare FP plans and programs.
• Leads efforts to plan and publish Protection-related annexes and appendices to USARPAC Operational Plans (OPLANS) and Contingency Plans (CONPLANS).
• Leads efforts to plan and publish Protection-related annexes and appendices to USARPAC Exercise Plans and Directives. Assist, advise, develop and recommend protection-related training objectives for all USARPAC Command Post Exercises.
• Participates in the Joint Mission Essential Task List (JMETL) analysis and review for submission into the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS).
• Participates as the Lead Protection Planner in all facets of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) for select USARPAC and INDOPACOM Exercises. Develop CIP-related appendices to USARPAC Operational Plans (OPLANS) and Contingency Plans (CONPLANS). Assist, advise, develop and recommend CIP-related training objectives for select USARPAC Command Post Exercises. Assist, advise, develop and recommend the initiation of programs to coordinate Higher Headquarters Mission Assurance Program Assessments of USARPAC by Headquarters, Department of the Army and United States Indo Pacific Command. Assist, advise, develop and recommend the initiation of programs to coordinate USARPAC's Mission Assurance Program.
• Candidate will provide support to G-3 both on-site at USARPAC, Fort Shafter HI, and various Joint Exercise locations

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelors and ten (10) years or more related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience; PhD or JD and five (5) years or more experience. 

Qualifications

•  Former Field Grade Military Officer with a Force Protection Planning background. .
• Must have an understanding of DOD and Army Protection programs and force protection concepts Must have an understanding of DOD and Army Exercise programs and the JELC. Familiarity with the military decision-making process and the ability to interpret implied tasks.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills are needed to handle multiple tasks and to work independently.
• Effective written and oral communication skills are required to work well with all levels of staff and managers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of the time.

Clearance:

Candidates must have an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
