SAIC is looking for a Full Stack Software Developer to join our team supporting a mission essential program in support of DOD. We are seeking an individual who is self-motivated, fast learner, and fully committed to the success of the program. This position will be located in San Diego, CA on client site.
The Software Developer will work with SAIC team located in Reston, VA and client team in San Diego, CA to address the feedback provided by the Government for the software application. Leveraging the user stories provided, appropriate changes to the code will be made to satisfy the need. Ensuring high quality code and user friendly interface with guidelines of the feature and functions of the application.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Fully participate in an Agile Software Development Team using Angular and Java.
- Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives meetings and scrum meetings.
- Implement requirements from JIRA story tickets into features on the user interface and backend as necessary.
- Debug SonarQube error findings and clean up code.
- Merge code changes using Git and GitHub.
- Work with QA testers to ensure acceptance criteria has been met on story tickets.
- Support with collaboration and clarification with end-users of the application.
Qualifications
Required Skills needed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject and five (5) years of experience or a Master's degree and three (3) years of experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Must have an active Secret clearance and must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Have 5+ years of experience with Angular and Java development.
- Experience with one of the following programming languages/libraries: Angular, Java Typescript, JavaScript, CSS and HTML
- Working experience in Linux/Unix environment.
Desired Skills
- Previously used Jira and Confluence.
- Have worked with application built using micro services.
- Have worked with OpenShift environment.
