Description

SAIC in support of our Horizon Program serves the US Space Force and assists the Space Systems Center (SSC) Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SSC/SZK) in their mission to develop, delivery, and sustain unrivaled space control systems and capabilities to equip US forces to gain, maintain and exploit space superiority for our nation. This position is located in El Segundo, California.
Job Duties:
  • Provide direct support to a Government Contracting Officer (CO) in execution of their duties and responsibilities
  • Provide contracting assistance to technical personnel involved in development of statement of work or data deliverable requirements for variety of pre-award and/or post-award procurement actions
  • Assist with contract negotiation, price reasonableness determination, administration, and termination procedures
  • Assist the CO in preparing contract modifications and supporting documentation for actions such as funding, award fee, period of performance extensions, and admin modifications
  • Enter contractual info into contract writing system software as required 
  • Monitor & evaluate contractor performance for compliance with contract terms/conditions & ensures timely submission of contract deliverables.
  • Review completed official contract files to determine all contractual actions are satisfied
  • Provide general office management support, such as typing, document review for format, filing, file maintenance, photocopying, scheduling meetings/rooms, and calendar management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 10+ years of related experience in acquisition contracting office. A Master’s Degree requires 8+ years and a PhD requires 5+ years of experience
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required
  • Working knowledge of contracting regulations and procurement procedures
  • Proficiency preparing contract files for review
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate between Government organizations and summarize information for presentations
