Job Description


Operational Support Specialist working with a diverse team of analysts, linguists, cultural experts, and operations officers, focused on creating and recognizing targeting opportunities and strategies in the cyber-realm.

Roles and Responsibilities:

*Serve in a signature reduction (SR) role and subject matter expert within a DOD environment.

*Demonstrate proficiency in counterintelligence, integrating policy requirements, training methodology, and identifying risk and vulnerabilities in order to enable support to signature reduction, sensitive activities, and intelligence-related activities

*Monitor the overall SR program to ensure its applicability and effectiveness for near and long term operations, taking into consideration the impact of various factors including technology, social networking, and biometrics

*Develop and provide well-written SR plans and assessments; prepare reports, briefings, senior level correspondence, and staff action packages in support of DoD and IC requirements

*Collaborate with senior staff within the IC, OSD, Military Services, Combatant Commands, and other Non-DOD Federal Departments and Agencies on policy related issues

*Participate in SR community working groups, training events, and utilize SR mechanisms as operationally required

*Must be able to operate in a diverse, evolving, and high profile environment

*Works in a team of various government, subcontractor, and SAIC personnel



Required Education, Certifications, Skills, Expertise, Years of Experience:

*Active Top Secret Clearance with ability of obtain SCI and pass a CI polygraph (PR within 6 years)

*Bachelor's Degree (in-field experience may be substituted for education)

*5+ years of experience within the US military or US intelligence community

*Completion of Advanced Technician's Course and/or Advanced Planners Course; must possess knowledge of applicable SR policies, directives, regulations, and requirements

*Experience conducting SR missions and/or program analysis, to include advising management and operators on SR threats, risks, and proposed courses of action

*Ability to execute multiple tasks and ongoing projects while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures

*Effective communication skills (oral and written) to engage successfully with senior executives, general officers, as well as action officers within SR community

*Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

*Working knowledge of popular, legacy, and new social media, blog sites, and mobile applications

*Knowledge of military operations, terminology, and structure
