SAIC is seeking a Systems Administrator to support work on Navy Electronic Warfare and Electronic Attack systems at Point Mugu, CA

Job duties include:

  • Perform on-site Government Network operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for sustaining the operating systems, workstations and servers.
  • Coordinate, implement and perform technical software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
  • Supports the scheduled installations and upgrades of the Government network and maintains the operational availability of the network in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Continually monitors and tunes multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity for all operators and operations of the network. 
  • Ensures data/media recoverability by completing the established schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
  • Supports the plans and works the implementation steps in support of the modernization of servers.
  • Cooperatively develops, implements and promotes standard operating procedures and schedules.
  • Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Work closely with Government Network and Systems Analysts to help determine and develop the systems that will be implemented.

Qualifications

Required education and experience:

  • Bachelors and two (2) years of experience; four (4) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Required skills:

  • Systems Administration experience to include installs and upgrades.
  • Understand fundamentals of cyber security and vulnerability analysis.
  • Information Assurance experience.
  • Assist with ACAS scans and provide regular anti-virus support.
  • Must be able to maintain network at a high standard of performance.
  • Must have knowledge in creating user accounts.
  • Must be able to work cohesively with clients/users and customers.

Required clearance:

  • Secret Clearance is required and must be able to obtain a Top Secret.
