SAIC is looking for a dedicated, talented Multimedia/ Graphic Designer to join our fun creative team in the Washington, DC Metro area. We need an exceptional individual who is enthusiastic about what they want to do for a living and excited to come in every day to learn and contribute to our team and support our various customer’s missions.

We are looking for a mid-level to senior Multimedia Design candidate who is eager to be part of a team that they can work with to develop a variety of different products for a variety of different customers. An individual that is eager to learn new experiences would be a great candidate; someone who is detail oriented and demonstrates solid time management skills and maturity. The candidate should be able to work in a non-routine setting and able to handle constructive criticism of work from peer reviews as needed. The candidate must be able to work independently to lead the design effort on some projects and contribute as a team member in support of others. Ability to engage and coordinate in-house production and outside services. We want someone who is passionate for technology and graphic design with the desire to venture into areas such as video, motion design, 3D, publications, and other creative disciplines.

The candidate must have well thought out graphics design skills. They must demonstrate solid conceptual problem solving skills and can translate customer requirements into visually engaging, innovative solutions to include but not limited to branding, logos, publications, print, promotional materials, briefings, posters, and branding/campaigns, and environmental design. The candidate should have a solid understanding in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, Microsoft PowerPoint and Word. Knowledge of AfterEffects, Premiere, Audition, compression tools and other creative software is a plus but not a requirement.

The candidate will be supporting various Government customers and will need to travel to some locations within the Washington Metropolitan area on occasion to meet with customers, deliver products, and attend meetings.


Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • TS/SCI with CI Poly is Required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or equivalent with 5 plus years of experience.
  • Must have a solid portfolio for review.
  • Ability to participate in on-line and in person meetings with customers and colleagues to exchange information, partake in decisions, and provide updates.
  • Ability to demonstrate solid conceptual problem solving skills and translate customer requirements into high-end graphic depictions.
  • Strong analytical skills; and have the ability to take complex information and distill it for non-expert audiences.
  • Strong skills in the Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • The Candidate shall provide graphic design, publication support, and visual communication expertise in support of a variety of different customers and their missions.
  • Develop products, to include publications, infographics, briefings, signage, presentations, training materials, digital multimedia, large marketing campaigns, environmental design, templates, style guides, and branding elements.
  • Managing and complying with a variety of customer style guides and keep graphics libraries up to date and current.
  • Support efforts to improve graphic design, course usability, and other strategic communication efforts.
  • Ability to create templates, graphics, and animation in Powerpoint and Word. Ability to work in Adobe Acrobat to edit and tweak products for print.
  • Illustration skills a plus.
  • Proficient on PCs. (we do not work on Macs)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-service attitude.
  • Ability to adapt to change.

  • Ability to respond to deadline pressures.
  • Demonstrated initiative, and the ability to supervise if necessary.
  • Willingness to be flexible to project needs.
  • Willingness to work occasional long days and weekends during peak-project times.
  • Ability to perform gracefully under pressure and meet inflexible deadlines.
  • Ability to self-manage technical projects with limited direct supervision.
  • Can work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
