SAIC is seeking qualified Fighter Aircrew Simulator Operator candidates to support the US Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFMS) program...this position is located out of Tulsa, OK; however, there are other openings out of Toledo, OH; Washington DC and Atlantic CIty, NJ as well.
AFMS is the premier agency responsible for implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and training and analysis standards that support the US Air Force (USAF), Department of Defense (DoD), and mission partners requiring these capabilities to support the Warfighter in full-spectrum operations.
The role of this position is to support the Air National Guard with M&S Operational, Technical, and Innovative Support team; below are the job duties/responsibilities:
- Fighter aircrew (F-16, F-15, F-18, F-22, or comparable aircraft) or have been previously qualified as a cockpit qualified.
- MTTG or MTC simulator operator.
- Operate Simulators from inside the cockpit, as well as at the console as an operator while other pilots operate the cockpits.
- The SMEs are responsible for all aspects of daily simulator operation: Management of simulator console operations, scenario development, and current 3-1tactics, avionics management and scenario management
Qualifications
The following skills are required:
- Fighter Pilot with five hundred (500) hours air-to-air and air-to-ground flight experience as an Instructor pilot (F-16, F-15, F-18, F-22, or comparable aircraft) or have been previously qualified as a cockpit qualified.
- Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience
A Secret security clearance is required and a Top Secret/SCI and SAP eligibility is desired.
