Description
DESCRIPTION: SAIC is seeking an Acquisition Engineer to assist the government plan and manage contracts and associated services and capabilities in the Springfield, VA area. Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform as Government’s trusted advisor in successfully planning, acquiring, and executing non-core contracts
- Support overall technical and programmatic execution of enterprise contracts and task orders
- Develop integrated assessments and products describing status of contracts and associated management activities
- Support development of various acquisition products, technical elements of engineering change proposals, award fee briefs, statements of work, etc.
- Contribute to program management reviews, technical exchanges; provide sound analysis and recommendations for successful program execution
- Craft presentations, white papers, technical/programmatic analysis, status reports, etc. for a variety of audiences; conveys information in crisp, articulate manner
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Contract requirement: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and minimum 9 years of experience
Required Qualifications:
- Innovative, and highly motivated Acquisition Engineer well-versed in acquisition process, contracts management, budget planning
- Experience with National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and associated acquisition policies and manual
- Familiar with overall GEOINT and SIGINT space and ground architecture
- Familiar with systems engineering and systems development processes
- Strong data analysis and data visualization skills
- Polished communicator and proven collaborator; demonstrated ability to coordinate across all levels of government to ensure contracts effectively deliver required services and capabilities
- Self-starter, proactively addressing customer requirements with no supervision; expert at defining solutions for broad, abstract topics
- Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly
Desired Experience:
- Familiar with Jira and Confluence; Digital Engineering
- Familiar with systems development methodologies (e.g Agile, DevSecOps, Spiral, Waterfall, etc.)
