Join a winning team! SAIC’s National Security and Space (NSS) Sector is currently hiring for a customer within the Intelligence Community (IC) in Chantilly, VA. This customer is responsible for designing, building, and operating national security-related systems based in space, in the air, and on the ground. NSS Sector has an opening for a Senior Program Manager to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) services to an IC customer. The customer organization we support provides the enterprise architecting, analysis, and systems engineering solutions that determine the current and future national space systems. The Program Manager will represent organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
The individual will manage and integrate activities in accordance with contract requirements and ensure technical, schedule, cost, and financial performance. They will manage risk and customer relationships and they will ensure compliance with quality standards and escalate challenges to SAIC leadership. The individual must have especially good communication skills and attention to details in order to gather project information, synthesize information in clear summaries and recommendations, and relay information through briefings to senior leadership. The individual must have experience in managing teams that span different parts of an organization. They must have proactive problem solving skills and experience in advising and directing space, science and technology based requirements.
The PM will also work with other PMs to coordinate sub-contractor responsibilities to ensure contractual requirements are met. This position will manage and deliver projects ranging from low thousands of dollars to projects requiring several millions of dollars. The PM will be assigned various level of risk projects and will be accountable for the schedule and cost performance of these projects.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and eighteen (18) years or more of related experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience; PhD or JD and thirteen (13) years or more experience.
