SAIC is looking for a talented Software Developer to join our team supporting the VA. This is a full-time remote role. Veterans are encouraged to apply
Job Duties:
- Actively participate in in the full software development life cycle (SDLC.
- Proactively perform code reviews, give feedback to team members.
- Identify and assess new technologies prior to implementation.
- Assist QA team members in developing automated test scripts.
- Interact with stakeholders to understand and
- Skilled in organizing, planning, and prioritizing work
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- High degree of self-motivation and intellectual curiosity
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline with 5+ years of related experience; an additional 4 years' experience can be accepted in lieu of degree.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency Java, Spring, Rest Services, Cucumber/Gherkin, and JPA
- Proficiency in Automation Testing
- Experience developing software unit tests and component level tests
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Software development, modeling, simulation, testing, and quality assurance.
- Effective communication
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge related to developing automated test scripts
- Experience with micro services and working in cloud based technologies.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum Environments
