SAIC is seeking a Document Control Specialist in Crane, IN. The Document Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining and controlling Standard Operating Procedures, Instructions, Plans and reports for Division level operations.  Candidate must have excellent Microsoft Word skills, as well as excellent communication skills. This position is a hybrid remote and requires you to be onsite 2-3 days per week.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Preferred to have an understanding on how to workflow and monitor documents in iPDM or other documentation control software
  •  Have the ability to provide technical writing support to division operations as needed
  •  Have the ability to review SOP's, Instructions, Plans and reports for formatting and grammatical errors 
  • Ensure the timely turn around and approval of documents 
  •  Supervise, track, and issue documents and ensure documentation remains within compliance
  • Have the ability to maintain a document repository:
  •  Manage access and permissions
  •  Manage data within the repository
  • Design and maintain templates for document preparer use
  • Assign document/form identification
  • Formally release documents and provide notification to stakeholders
  • Maintain document allocation and revision control
  • Conduct annual documentation audits

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: HS Diploma/ GED and 7+ years of experience in document management is ideal

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE The ideal candidate must be able to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth work environment and operate entrepreneurially and collaboratively to accomplish deliverables.  Additionally, the candidate must possess the ability to accomplish/complete a task while demonstrating a thorough concern for all the areas involved while being detail oriented. This means monitoring and checking work or information, while organizing time and resources efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess the following combination of experience, knowledge, and skills: 

  •  Requires strong computer skills to include Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word applications
