The SAIC's Space Business Unit (Intel Space) is seeking a highly dynamic and experienced executive with keen business acumen to lead the NRO Operations and Communication account.  The Vice President (VP) is responsible for the growth, execution, and talent management for the portfolio. The VP must be able to forecast, monitor, and meet annual business plan financial goals and operational objectives with a focused effort on driving growth that aligns with the broader organization strategic plans. The successful individual must initiate and participate in business strategy development, guide business development and capture activities, maintain financial controls for the organization, and create an environment conducive to staff development and professional growth. The VP is expected to exercise sound judgment within broadly defined SAIC guidelines and policies.

Position Responsibilities:

SAIC’s Intel Space team provides premier systems engineering support services to Intelligence Customers.  This role is responsible for a broad portfolio of operational, IT and communications, acquisition and facilities management large programs. The VP will provide energy and engagement across the organization to lead a highly cleared workforce to overall mission success. 

The selected individual must be able to interact with and influence executive level management and customer’s and communicate effectively. The candidate will have strong knowledge of the NRO mission, customer and proven ability to drive successful outcomes on systems engineering, integration and/or support services contracts.  The candidate must be accountable for the delivery of cost, schedule, quality and technical performance of a broad portfolio of projects and provide sound guidance based on extensive knowledge of industry practices and mission experience with NRO customer.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Identifying, managing and nurturing exceptional Customer relationships and cultivating Customer intimacy and confidence
  • Leading, managing and coaching Program Managers. Provide oversight to managed programs within portfolio; identify solutions to complex problems
  • Identifying, planning, executing, and supervising business development strategies and directing multiple simultaneous capture efforts and proposals
  • Developing and executing annual and quarterly financial plans
  • Meeting cost, schedule and performance objectives
  • Leading efforts where the scope and complexity of responsibilities require the integration of multiple disciplines and functions
  • Coordinating efforts with supporting organizations including contracts, procurement, project control, finance, and human resources
  • Regular interaction across all levels of management. Interactions may involve controversial situations and/or customer negotiations
  • Creating and maintaining a collaborative environment conducive to the professional growth and development of staff and the free flow of information throughout the entire organization

 

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in leadership and management of projects, programs and portfolios in the Intelligence Community
  • Strong presence and excellent written and oral communication skills with experience presenting to executives and customers.
  • Significant and relevant experience within the NRO
  • Deep understanding of Intelligence Community contracting practices
  • Proven experience building and leading large, high-performing teams; strong coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to achieve results through others
  • Bachelor’s degree, in a technical discipline is preferred
  • Active TS/SCI clearance

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience as Program Manager or Director of large SETA and/or SE&I contract within the Intelligence Community
  • Successful leadership of capture and/or proposal efforts
  • Experience in development and execution of business strategies
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of mission operations, cloud architecture and/or enterprise networks
