Support the US Navy’s Naval Enterprise Network (NEN)
 

SAIC is supporting the sustainment, upgrade and Life Cycle Support (LCS) of shore networks, network components and network service solutions for US Navy shore units worldwide. This program will provide the Capability-Based In-Service Engineering Activity (CB-ISEA) services of Technical Sustainment Support (TSS), Sustainment Engineering Support, Logistics Support, and Modernization Support for the OCONUS Navy Enterprise NETwork, Next Generation Enterprise Network, and Navy Enterprise Network at NIWC PAC, San Diego, CA.

Some roles may be eligible for remote/teleworking flexibility. We are seeking new candidates and incumbent staff.

Contract start date is March 2023.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
•    Minimum requirements will vary based on role, level, education and experience. 
•    US Citizenship is required.
•    Some roles may be eligible for remote/teleworking flexibility. 
•    Roles require Secret Security clearance, a minimum of an interim Secret is required.
•    Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) IAT I & IAT II requirements vary based on role.

Positions will be available in the following skill areas: 

  • Program Management
  • Computer Programming/SW Engineering
    • Design and code software components, units, and modules to customer’s products’ specification and development schedules.
    • Determine computing system requirements; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; design and develop autonomous services, desktop applications, scripts, and utility programs.
    • Develop software sustainment processes and provide software support for all new approved Enterprise Applications to correct deficiencies in production software.  
    • Test and debug components and units. 
    • Code and test programming for software and mobile apps.
    • Conduct/Review/Assess Software and Firmware Test Procedures
  • Systems Engineering 
    • Systems analysis, design definition, software development, systems test, implementation, and maintenance of applications.
    • Assist with developing custom scripts to automate systems management/migration. Support administration and management of Microsoft print and web solutions Support designing test plan and templates, and conduct analysis on new or available technology.
    • Provide input to engineering documentation and provide solution brief presentations to government leadership Conduct server image deployment or management via Microsoft System Center Manager 2012.
    • Systems engineering experience in enterprise architecture.
    • Experience implementing enterprise deployments.
    • Implementation and migration experience with networked file share solutions. 
    • Applying DISA STIG and apply FISMA security requirements. 
    • Microsoft MCSA or MSCE with Windows Server 2012 or 2016  Dell EMC Hardware experience.
  • Network Engineering
    • Support analysis of short/long term capacity needs for switching, routing transmission and signaling.  
    • Support network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies as well as internal studies of network performance and traffic analysis.  
    • Supports providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture; provide information for hardware and software selection and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. 
    • Conducts testing of network systems. 
    • Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. 
    • Support evaluation and developing reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
  • Cyber Security
    • Provide IA analysis and scanning of new workstation models and applications using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Security Compliance Automated Protocol (SCAP) or applicable security analysis tools. 
    • Conduct Application Security Assessment by ensuring applications are ready for Information Assurance (IA) security compliance reviews. 
    • Work with vendors to resolve any initial findings resulting from an IA security review. 
    • Ensure compliance of Security Requirements Guides (SRG) or Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and provide feedback to the Security Engineering and Certification & Accreditation (C&A) Teams.
  • Technical Writing
    • Provide technical writing support to prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documentation that incorporates information and data from Engineering, customers, task lead, end users, and other departments.
    • Develop high-quality technical documentation that is coherent and easy to follow as well as complies with corresponding standard, style guide, and/or directive and meets the customers’ and end users’ needs. Technical documentation includes, but is not limited to, technical manuals, engineering test plans, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 

Target salary range: $95,001 - $105,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
