SAIC has an immediate opening on a long-term contract for a Wireless or Mobile Systems Engineer!  This role will support a mission critical program that involves various technical functions for an important customer.  The engineer must be a forward-leaning self-starter, capable of balancing multiple priorities while supporting ongoing projects and activities in a fast-paced organization.  The engineer will also help the customer assess vendor development status and deliverables to ensure the customer receives what has been requested. Participating in technical exchange meetings with the vendor, reviewing deliverables and providing recommendations to the customer are key elements of this position. The candidate will need to leverage strong verbal and written communication skills in order to perform the necessary outreach to impact collaboration and engagement with intra/inter-organizations. The candidate will be asked to work at the strategic and tactical levels to execute the customer’s objectives.

Qualifications

Required

• Active Top Secret with Poly
• Minimum of 9 years relevant technical experience
• 3+ years of experience with cellular network topologies and components (e.g. modems)
• Experience with cellular RF protocols to include 4G/LTE/LTE Advanced and 5G in a testing environment
• Experience with test plan creation and execution related to cellular hardware and software
• Understanding of 4G/LTE/LTE Advanced and 5G concepts such as network slicing and SIP messaging

Desired

• Experience configuring, managing and updating virtual machines
