SAIC is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer in San Diego, CA.

Position Description:

SAIC is seeking cleared Systems Engineering candidates to support Program Executive Office, Command, Control, Computers, Communications, and Intelligence (PEO C4I). This position provides technical assistance and recommendations regarding the planning, implementation, and management of Battlespace Awareness services with existing and emerging infrastructures between Information Operations (IO) and Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems/capabilities and Command and Control (C2) systems/capabilities. Specific tasks include the following:

• Conduct systems / system of systems architecture design, experimentation, implementation, integration and review
• Assist in development and update of Systems Integration Roadmap
• Interface with various levels of program leadership: project managers, task and functional leaders, and product owners
• Analyze user needs to determine functional requirements and define problems and develop plans to address requirements
• Use operational experience and technical expertise to collaborate with the Functional Team Leads for assessing requirements, designing, executing and developing IO/ISR technical solutions on Navy platforms (afloat and ashore)

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:  

Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD and nine (9) years related experience.  Applicable military experience with IO/ISR systems experience is acceptable in lieu of advanced education.

Security Clearance:

US Citizen with an active TS/SCI

Required Skills: 

• Understanding of Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (PEO C4I), Naval Information Warfare Command (NIWC) and prior experience of Naval Systems, Programs and Projects
• Ability to work with and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders, government technical representatives, and other supporting contractors
• Excellent written and oral communications
• Ability to work independently or in a team collaborative environment
• Ability to brief senior government personnel
• Ability to explore and examine data from multiple disparate sources with the goal of drawing conclusions to address business problems

Desired Skills and Certifications:

• Degree in Science, Engineering or Math
• Prior Military experience with IO/ISR systems
• INCOSE systems engineering certification (CSEP or ESEP) Project Management Institute

Desired Experience:

• Understanding PEO C4I, NAVWAR, US Navy C-ISR systems and CONOPS
• Agile Application Development technologies and capabilities in the areas of software development/application testing, systems engineering and/or integration
• Experience working with Model-Based Systems Engineering software tools, such as Enterprise Architect or No Magic CAMEO
• ELINT, SIGINT, COMINT, and/or MASINT collection processes, capabilities, and technical parameters
