SAIC is seeking a Junior CYBERSAFE Analyst - NAVAIR to join a versatile team in support of the Airworthiness CYBERSAFE Office (ACO) In Patuxent River, MD.  Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Supporting the NAVAIR CYBERSAFE program to assist and support the Program Offices in achieving CYBERSAFE certification and provide support to the Department of Navy Commercial-Off-The-Shelf Unmanned Aerial Systems Waiver Board
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform analysis of objective qualifying evidence (OQE) artifacts for CYBERSAFE certification recommendation.
    • Evaluate the Risk Management Framework control selection and implementation strategies
    • Evaluate cyber risk assessments and/or cyber tabletop activities for scoping the CYBERSAFE certification effort
    • Reference the Department of the Navy Information Technology / Cybersecurity Technical Authority Board standards for scoping the CYBERSAFE certification effort to evaluate OQE
    • Participate in cross-competency working groups
    • Provide status reports as required for performance metrics
  • Responsible for evaluating, analyzing, drafting and assisting the government in publishing CYBERSAFE certification products (Certifications, NATIP, NATOPS).
  • Provide lifecycle management through technical research and analysis, editorial support, and process facilitation for CYBERSAFE certificates from initial certification through continuous monitoring of certification.
  • Produce quality products with minimum errors, supporting all platforms within Naval Aviation.
  • Develop and demonstrate expert knowledge of Airworthiness processes and supporting SYSCOM or external processes necessary to execute the Airworthiness/CYBERSAFE process effectively.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on DON COTS UAS waiver requests
  • Maintain metrics and multiple reports for DON COTS UAS Board
  • Manage site content for DON COTS UAS SharePoint portal


***This position REQUIRES U.S. citizenship and, at minimum, an ACTIVE Secret Clearance with the ability to achieve a DoD Secret-level clearance (requires citizenship). All candidates who do not meet this qualification will be immediately disqualified***
Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree and zero (0) years of experience; Four 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Some knowledge of the Risk Management Framework, eMASS, and ePOWER.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Certified CompTIA Security+, or able to obtain
  • Experience in researching, developing, writing, editing best practices/guidance
  • Systems engineering, navy acquisition, aircraft test and evaluation, configuration management, and/or maintenance background is highly desired
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Adobe Pro, as well as a strong background in computer-based or web-based platforms
  • Ability to perform in a team environment, demonstrating leadership, decision-making and self-starter qualities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with System Engineering Class desk, NAVAIR engineers, Naval Waiver Board members and customers
