SAIC is seeking a highly motivated Software Developer to support Counter-UAS Software Development in Huntsville, AL.

NOTE: This position is hybrid consisting of 3-4 days onsite and 1 - 2 days remote work.

About the Program:

• The Medusa Command and Control (C2) program has been established to integrate the system to defeat the UAV threats CONUS and OCONUS.  This suite of software is used to help detect, identify, and defeat threatening UAVs.  Various 3rd party sensors interface with the Medusa C2 software and are used to identify these threats. The Medusa C2 software executes algorithms based on the configuration given and assists the operator in detecting and identifying UAVs.  Under Medusa C2, software can control various weapon systems to defeat these threats. 

About the Position: Candidate will provide software development and maintenance support for various Medusa C2 programs. This involves working on an Agile SAFe Development Team, designing, implementing, documenting, building, and unit testing software in a Java and Android development environments

Qualifications

Education Requirements: 

• Bachelors degree in computer science or related technical discipline with 2+ years of related experience; 4 years' experience can be accepted in lieu of degree. 

Clearance Requirement: 

• Must have the ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

Required Skills: 

• Proficient Java, C# 
• Proficient working in a Git environment as well as other DevSecOp toolsets 
• Experience working in a Windows or Linux software development environment 
• Experience developing software unit tests and component level tests 
• Teamwork and collaboration
• Initiative and drive
• Effective communication 

Desired Skills: 

• Knowledge related to Protobuf, gRPC, Spring, XML, Json, Typescript, JavaScript, WPF, Python 
• Experience with REST/Websocket API 
• Experience in Agile/Scrum and Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
