SAIC is hiring an IT Asset Management Specialist to work in downtown Austin, Texas.

SUMMARY: 

The IT Logistics Manager has oversight of shipping, maintaining, receiving, warehousing, and managing end to end inventory operations of IT Fixed Assets and consumables and other supplies by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.

  • Support of the logistics of the Assets from receipt, stored, assigned and/or configuration
  • Inventory management, demand management, re-stocking ensuring adequate assets are available based forecasted requirements
  • Assist ServiceNow personnel in documenting/tracking all End User Devices (EUD) in the asset management module 
  • Facilitate key vendor relationships for shipping, warehouse management, asset disposal
  • Assist management in performance improvement of overall demand planning for PCs (and related equipment), routers, switches, and all related peripherals, etc.
  • Lead/supervise logistic technicians on remote sites
  • Assist management in implementing appropriate technology and processes improvement strategies
  • Assist management in development and supervise overall asset management through the entire build lifecycle
  • Perform regular inventory audits, and manage inventory based on demand
  • Manage IT equipment refresh cycles
  • Drive PC / equipment reclamation and inventory replenishment; break/fix; and track/report on missing assets, etc.
  • Support PC Security policies and ensure Chain of Custody for returned units.
  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place to support financial, equipment physical storage, and employee safety audits

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years of experience or equivalent.
  • 2 years of property management experience within the Department of Defense
  • Knowledgeable in controlling, managing and disposal of property.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: 

  • Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain the interim Secret Security clearance to begin working on the contract.  Must be able to obtain the full Secret Security clearance.  SAIC will assist with the process of obtaining the interim Secret clearance for the qualified candidate.

DESIRED:

  • Knowledge of ServiceNow or equivalent platforms for IT Service Management and Delivery
