Mid-Level Intelligence Analyst (East Asian Focus)

The Mid-Level All-Source Intelligence Analyst will be immersed into a dynamic environment composed of a diverse team of analysts, linguists, cultural experts, and operations officers. The analyst will focus on creating and recognizing targeting opportunities and strategies.  The position requires superb critical thinking skills, writing, and briefing abilities. Along with strong analytic skills/research skills, the candidate should demonstrate strong operational sense and personal initiative. The primary focus area for this position will be East Asia.  This position will require interaction with a wide variety of Government leadership and contractor personnel. The ability to operate in a diverse, evolving, and high profile environment is key.

 

  • Utilizes all-sources of intelligence to provide analysis, recommendations and courses of actions to government leads. 
  • Conducts Social Media and Open Source Research for investigative and/or operational activities
  • Experience with Counterintelligence
  • Develops investigative leads and creates associated incident, threat, and information reports/products
  • Can be counted on to exceed goals successfully, very bottom-line oriented; steadfastly pushes self and others for results

 

Required Education, Certifications, Skills, Expertise, Years of Experience:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with ability of obtain SCI and pass a CI polygraph (PR within 6 years)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Intelligence Studies, International Studies, or a related field (in-field experience may be substituted for education)
  • 3-7 years of experience within the US military or US intelligence community
  • Experience with one or more of the following database: CHROME, Harmony, TAC, M3, and other database
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing data visualization tools (e.g., i2 Analyst Notebook, Visio, Palantir, Tableau, Qlik, Power BI)
  • Experience with assessment of sources through validating information
  • Working knowledge of popular, legacy, and new social media, blog sites, and mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (specifically OneNote)
  • Strong knowledge of  military operations, terminology, and structure
  • Preparing Information Reports with excellent writing and briefing skills

 

Desired Education, Certifications, Skills, Expertise, Years of Experience:

  • Former Military Intelligence experience
  • Active CI Poly (must be able to take/pass “at-will”)
  • Formal coursework or instruction in PAI techniques, technologies, tools, and trends.
  • Experience as an analyst or education in the East Asian mission area
  • Experience utilizing commercial Social Media and Open Source Tools/Databases (e.g. BabelStreet, Maltego, FiveCast, Harvester, DataMinr)
  • Any additional language capability
  • Experience in the production and dissemination of Intelligence Information Reports (IIRs)

 

 

Travel:  Approx 10%

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience within the intelligence community with a Bachelor’s Degree in Intelligence Studies.
  • Experience in providing analytical support to strategic, tactical, and/or counterintelligence platforms.
  • Experience with HOTR, Chrome, Voltron, and standard IC analytic tools and databases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically OneNote); Analyst Notebook and/or Palantir.
  • Strong knowledge of  military operations, terminology, and structure.
  • Preparing Intelligence Information Reports (IIRs) in accordance with DIAM 58-12, with excellent writing and briefing skills.

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong knowledge of HOTR, military operations, terminology , and structure.
  • Defense Strategic Debriefer (DSDC), (SOIC) or equivalent certification.
  • Former Military Intelligence experience (35F, 35L, 35M, 14N, 1N0, 0210, 0211, or equivalent).
  • Working knowledge of popular, legacy, and emerging social media, blog sites, and mobile applications.
  • Active CI Poly.

REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE

  • Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a polygraph.
  • TS/SCI Polygraph Preferred.
