Description

SAIC’s Systems Engineer will design, review, and evaluate engineering designs and plans in support of the development of next generation technology to enable the customer to easily submit, track, and store data. The Systems Engineer will analyze system functionality and provide recommendations and impact assessments for architecture and process improvements including the analysis to transition to common processes and corporate infrastructure while meeting customer requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Plan, design, and analyze how to integrate components or modules within applications, including installation and de‐installation of integrated components
Establish and maintain standards for information systems procedures
Gather, analyze, and translate complex system requirements into specifications
Expand and/or modify established systems to serve new purposes or improve workflow
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
Active TS/SCI with polygraph
Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. (Note that years of experience can be substituted in lieu of degree)
Six (6) years of demonstrated experience in one or more of following systems engineering activities:
Performing systems planning and coordinate/connect IT systems
Working within Window, Linux, and/or virtual environment
Utilizing version control or tracking software such as Subversion, Github, JIRA, and/or Confluence
DESIRED:
Demonstrated experience using AWS or other cloud services
Working within an Agile development environment
Building deployment and continuous integration systems using tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, or similar
Certifications: Security+, Scrum Master, Red Hat Certified System Engineer, or AWS Solutions Architect, etc.
