SAIC is rapidly growing a System Integration (SI) team to deliver a new, complex space and ground system in support of National Security. We currently have opportunities on-site at our developer’s location in the Denver, CO region. This program is leveraging best practices in Model Based System Engineering, Digital Engineering processes and technologies, and agile software development, in a DevSecOps environment. This multi-year contract will require energetic engineering leaders to define and integrate a major space system and its associated elements from concept to an operational enterprise.


We are looking for creative talent with familiarity in ground and space systems including mission planning, mission processing, telemetry, tracking and control, ground terminals and operations centers. The new ground system will be developed using agile best practices within a cloud based development environment. Adjunct to the ground segment scope for the successful candidate, is the coordination with the space segment stakeholders for a seamless orchestration with the SI team in Chantilly, VA. As the Inter-Segment Liaison Manager you will:

  • Lead a team of on-site integration experts to interface with development program activities, broader System Integration and Segment contractors to ensure on-time, high quality capability delivery
  • Represent the equities of the Ground Segment program office and translate strategic guidance and requirements, to manage programmatic and technical risks
  • Actively liaise with the GS development team to assure alignment of the GS PMO priorities and transparent support of key  System Integration milestones
  • Actively liaise and coordinate with the Space Segment Development stakeholders for critical intra-segment efforts that affect and/or influence the SI’s programmatic and technical objectives 
  • Perform a diverse set of tasks associated to ensure alignment of scope and schedule between Ground Segment and broader Space, Ground and operational enterprise
  • Orchestrate and communicate technical and end-to-end closure risks and actively contribute to program closure and mission success.
  • Work closely with the Chantilly, VA team to drive program success.

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and 14 years or more experience; Masters and 12 years or more experience; PhD and 10 years related experience

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current TS clearance, TS/SCI preferred

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a science, technical, engineering or math discipline and 14 years additional or a master's degree and 12 years, or a PhD with 10 years or 20 experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience supporting ground systems development, integration, or test activities/events
  • Experience supporting space system development, integration, or test activities/events
  • Experience participating in or leading Agile/SAFe events with software development contractors 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Scaled Agile Framework SAFe Agilist (SA) or Program Consultant (SPC) 5.0+
  • Experience in leading small to large-sized cross-disciplinary technical and project teams
  • Experience in communicating with and leading complex technical, operational, and programmatic efforts
  • Experience in coordinating and liaising with cross-functional program control functions

Target salary range: $175,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
