SAIC is seeking a Fully Remote Streaming Data Engineer to support the US Army Human Resources Command to design, develop, and field enterprise application solutions.

NOTE: This is a Fully Remote / Work from Home position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Engage and build trusted partnerships with Human Resource Command technical and functional stakeholders 

• Lead design, develop, implement and troubleshoot enterprise data solutions using SQL Server 2017 or 2019 (Integration, Reporting, Analysis and Developer Tools)

• Produce end-to-end data maps that integrate different source systems; write queries, respond to customer requests for information, establish data extracts and interfaces with internal and external data partners, develop jobs to automate transfer of data

• Re-engineer and modernize Extract Transform Load (ETL) functions

• Perform data modeling and data mapping with event driven streaming data utilizing JSON scripting

• Interact with Military and Civilian database administrators, data analysts, system integrators, cybersecurity, network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development teams

• Provide estimation support for enterprise demands, increment planning, delivery oversight of enterprise initiatives that involve development, testing, or implementation

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors and nine (9) years of related experience; experience accepted in lieu of degree
• Experience developing new software applications using SQL Server that leverage data streaming technologies i.e. Apache Kafka or KSQL
• Experience using version control tools such as Subversion, Team Foundation Server, or Azure Dev Ops
• Experience with Visual Studio, XML, AND JSON scripting
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI, SAS, or Microsoft Reporting Services
• Experience with Java Design patterns (MVC, DAO, Singleton, Factory, etc.)
• Experience using Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and RESTful services

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION:

• Must be CompTIA Security+ certified prior to hire

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

• Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain
• Must be a current US Citizen

Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
