Job Description


The SAIC Security Team is seeking a Senior Security Manager to manage the security footprint of the enterprise-wide Controlled Unclassified Informanton (CUI) program. This position is 100% Remote but might require 10% travel. In this position you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of Executive Order 13556 and NIST 800-171 policies, procedures, plans and training that the C-suite CUI champion has signed and resourced.

This position you will also be responsible for providing SAIC Senior Leadership with status of the program, the security POC will collaborate both internally to the Office of Security as well as cross-functionally with Corporate Real Estate, International Compliance, ITO, Site Managers, General Mangers as well as other members of SAIC Leadership.

This is a newly created role, therefore the ideal candidate must be willing to partner with SAIC senior leadership in forming the basis of the role and be willing to be flexible to the changing needs of the organization as this role evolves.

This role is a dual-reporting position.  It will report to the Senior Security Manager for Unclassified Programs under the office of the CSO as well as the Director for Governance, Risk and Compliance under the office of the CISO.


Key Duties and/or Responsibilities:

  • Establish partnerships and engagement plans with site leads to ensure Corporate CUI requirements and policies are being met.
  • Ensure that site leads have the appropriate training and knowledge related to CUI; serving as initial point of contact to site leads for questions related to CUI.
  • Implement an effective road map for how CUI will be managed based on NIST 800-171,SAIC specific policies and procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Partner with the SAIC Security Awareness Training and Education (SATE) team to promote security campaigns throughout the year that target the protection of CUI.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on all security requirements to ensure compliance procedures are in place.
  • Standardize processes in accordance with NIST 800-171 and SAIC policies and procedures. Institute a self-assessment program for each site with CUI to ensure consistency and compliance across the corporation.
  • Develop and report on metrics and key risk indicators associated with enterprise-wide oversight of CUI.
  • Develop improvement plans to address deficiencies in program compliance.
  • Develop recommendations for continuous improvement of the Enterprise-wide CUI program.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide inputs to laws, regulations, and policies related to CUI.
  • Be a standing member of the CUI Steering Committee.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors and eighteen (18) years or more of related experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience; PhD or JD and thirteen (13) years or more experience.
  • Must have a Secret Clearance with the ability to obtan/maintain a Top Secret Clearance 

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
