Position Summary

SAIC is currently seeking a motivated and energetic Enterprise Data Governance Lead to join our team to become part of an exciting and challenging team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Technical Leads, Data Specialists, and Compliance Specialists for developing and approving data policies and data standards and resolving escalated issues.
  • Implement and maintain data control and governance across the enterprise and ensure high quality through the complete lifecycle of enterprise data.
  • Collaborate with data stakeholders across the enterprise to identify and meet information needs.
  • Manage processes and procedures to ensure compliance with data governance standards, formats, rule, and policies.
  • Support consistent business decisions based on authoritative data aligned with the purposes for the use of data within the enterprise.
  • Manage regulatory requirements by documenting the lineage of data assets and the access controls related to the data.
  • Define and verify data distribution policies including the roles and accountabilities of data owners and stakeholders.
  • Manage an enterprise platform that features metadata management, business glossary, data linage, and data quality components.
  • Report on data quality metrics and overall data domains and assets.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of stakeholder business processes and data requirements supporting business processes.


Required Skills and Experience

  • 12 years of specialized experiencing leading delivery of enterprise applications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or relevant discipline
  • PMI Project Management Professional
  • Experience leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve enterprise objectives and goals
  • Experience integrating complex data, processes, and technologies in meeting business requirements
  • Experience creating, implementing, and managing project plans and roadmaps, and developing executive leadership and external stakeholder support
  • Knowledge and understanding of metadata management, reference data management, business glossary, data lineage, data quality, and policy compliance
  • Experience implementing and maintain data controls and governance
  • Experience managing processes and procedures to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards
  • Experience developing and maintaining deep understanding of business requirements and translating business requirements into technical requirements
  • Experience delivering technical solutions to solve complex problems  
  • Experience delivering and maintaining technical solutions using an Agile methodology and tools
  • Experience delivering and maintaining Java-based web applications using a Microservice Architecture
  • Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
  • Experience deploying and maintaining solutions in the cloud such as Amazon Web Services
  • Experience working with event stream technologies such as Kafka
  • Experience collaborating with data loader and security teams
  • Experience with Role Based Access Controls (RBAC)
