Description
SAIC is looking for a Sr. Ground Systems Engineer to support a dynamic program in Chantilly, VA. This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph. In this role you will provide Ground SE support to critical programs and upcoming acquisitions. This support will include the following:
• Develop ground architecture solutions and concepts, network and process diagrams to support the definition of a ground system
• Review and evaluate contractor ground system solutions
• Develop acquisition documentation for future ground system procurements
• Use technical expertise in the areas of Mission Management, Command and Control, Mission Processing, Network Engineering, and Communications Engineering to provide recommendations for ground, network, and communications systems and intertfaces
• Provide proactive support to the Government customer and tasks
• Develop productive relationships with Prime/Subcontractor counterparts, functional counterparts, and other subject matter experts
• Author, review, and coordinate documents and data to aid the Government in decision-making
• Participate and represent the customer in various Government and contractor meetings and attend contractor programmatic and technical reviews (e.g. PMR, PDR, CDR, and other meetings) to provide technical and programmatic-based ground system recommendations and risk assessments
Qualifications
Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience
• Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Poly
• Proficient at program/project management within the customer organization
• Experience with small satellite ground systems a plus
• Experience with NRO ground systems a plus
• Available to travel domestically
