Description

SAIC is looking for a Logistics Management Specialist (LMS) in Crane, IN to perform Life Cycle Logistics on NAVAIR Aircraft Gun Systems commodities in accordance with DON policies.  Core duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Implement DoD reliability centered maintenance concepts
• Develop maintenance plans using Slicwave
• Develop life cycle support plans (LCSPs)
• Submit requests to establish support equipment requirement documents (SERDs)
• Create training plans
• Analyze tool requirements and ensure tool control program adequately supports needs
• Conduct level of repair analysis (LORA)
• Monitor deficiency reports and establish metrics for tracking trends
• Review and validate the correlation between supply provisioning data, maintenance plan, maintenance manuals, and technical data package
• Conduct supply supportability analysis

In addition to the noted core duties, the LMS will at times also be required to do the following:

• Initiate MILSTRIP procurements
• Receive and stock material
• Conduct inventory of on-hand materiel

The person in this position may be requested to obtain the following:

• Explosive handling certification.
• Fork truck operator's license.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's and ten (10 years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience; PhD or JD and five (5) years or more experience
• Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
• Ability to pass the Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E) screening.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs to chest height.
• Joint Deficiency Report System (JDRS)
• WebFLIS, Onetouch Support, FedMall, and LOGSA
• Naval Air Technical Data and Engineering Command (NATEC)
• Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP)
• Product Data Reporting and Evaluation Program (PDREP)
• Familiarity with the use of the following websites/information systems:

  • WebFLIS, Onetouch Support, FedMall, and LOGSA
  • Naval Air Technical Data and Engineering Command (NATEC)
