JOB DESCRIPTION
SAIC is seeking experienced long-haul telecommunications (OSI layers 1 and 2) and Network (OSI layers 3 and 4) engineers to support a Government Program Management Office (GPMO) oversee the cost, schedule, and performance of an enterprise service provider. The successful applicant will participate within a team of Systems Engineers and Technical Advisors (SETAs) to oversee the design, delivery, enhancement, and recapitalization of a multi-site environment leveraging a variety of router, firewalls, encryption, and associated technologies/services. Candidates will leverage their background in implementing network infrastructure and provisioning of fiber backbones, CANs/LANs, Access Controls, VLANs, and similar network related solutions to assess the service provider’s proposed approaches for solving organizational needs.
