SAIC is seeking a Field Technician III in San Diego, CA!
Motivated individuals wanted for the installation of electronic and support equipment aboard US Naval, Coast Guard, and MSC Vessels. Will be required to work independently, as part of a team, or as a team leader to perform installation tasks demonstrating sound judgment and the ability to identify and resolve installation issues. You will be tasked with reading, interpreting, and working from technical data, test procedures, arrangement and block wiring diagrams. Your written and verbal communication skills must be strong enough to effectively communicate with co-workers, managers and customers. Additional work includes redlining and/or maintaining documentation such as engineering drawings and conducting on-site installation troubleshooting.
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years related experience, a minimum of 3 years performing installation work on US Navy Ships; or Associates degree in related field and at least 3 years performing installation work on US Navy Ships. Must currently have a Confidential clearance at minimum and ability to acquire and maintain a Secret clearance.
