SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Chantilly, VA team. The candidate will provide Systems Engineering Technical Advisory (SETA) support to a Government program office.  This position requires an active TS/SCI with Poly to start.

Responsibilities:

• Review spacecraft Command and Control, ground processing/scheduling requirements and specifications 
• Plan and execute space and ground segment design reviews and assess compliance against entrance and exit criteria
• Participate in government and developer sponsored technical exchange meetings, design reviews, and program reviews
• Review and trace requirements for subsystem and unit level designs 
• Review space to ground Interface Control Documents, identify strengths and weaknesses, and recommend technical/programmatic solutions
• Develop presentations and create correspondence that captures and conveys technical analyses and positions in concise and coherent products
• Provide prime and subcontractor management and track progress towards program objectives 
• Identify system risks and opportunities, and advise government on mitigation strategies 
• Coordinate with stakeholders and integrate contractor CONOPs / design with enterprise ground services 
• Provide technical support in developing  verification and test approaches

Qualifications

Qualifications:  

•   Bachelor's degree in STEM field

•   At least 5 years of relevant experience

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with spacecraft command and control systems or ground processing/scheduling tools
