SAIC is seeking a Program Manager to support our team in Special Use Ammunition (SUA) for Battlefield Effects. This role offers telework options. 

Job Duties: 

  • Acts as the overall lead, manager, and administrator for the contracted effort.
  • Serves as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities on technical and program/project issues.
  • Oversees contractor execution of the contract requirements.
  • Responsible for successful delivery of project to a customer.
  • Manage and integrate activities in accordance with contract requirements and ensure technical, schedule, cost, and financial performance. 
  • Define or contribute to the program baseline then execute the program to comply with baseline requirements. 
  • Coordinate and supervise the on time delivery of multiple vendors and subcontractors to ensure that milestones and outcome-based results are achieved.
  • Manage risk, customer relationships, and program staffing in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with in a matrixed organization and multiple teaming partners
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and escalate challenges to SAIC leadership. 
  • Support business development and program development.

• INDEPENDENCE: Occasionally reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall quality and content by Program Oversight. Primary customer interface for technical, management, and contract matters; information sharing; and moderate problem resolution. 

• PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT OF PROGRAM STAFF: Possesses maturing leadership and management skills that require periodic mentoring and feedback from supervisors. Escalates and resolves minor program issues. Provides input to MS on performance reviews, compensation-related actions, and staffing and hiring recommendations. Resolves minor personnel issues in coordination with MS, HR, and Program Oversight. 

• BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT: Contributes to a BD plan to grow current program. Identifies potential selling opportunities related to future growth beyond current contract.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more of related experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more of related experience.
  • Must be eligible for DoD Secret clearance. 
  • Candidate should have a clear understanding of Government policy and guidelines.  
  • Additionally, looking for US Navy, US Army, US Air Force, and US Marine Corps experience specifically in the area of pyrotechnics, explosives, and energetics.
  •  Employee must be driven to take on a high visibility portfolio with a potential for considerable growth and develop a strategy to assist moving the customer into the Digital Engineering and Mission Engineering environment.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
