SAIC is hiring a Project Systems Engineering Lead to join our team at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren, MI.
NOTE: This will be a hybrid role with a combination of remote work and working on site at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren, MI.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
SAIC is leading the way in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Engineering to enable rapid and futuristic improvements in US Army ground vehicle capabilities. These improvements include development and demonstration of leading edge technologies for new manned and unmanned vehicles including integration and analysis of advanced sensor technologies, vehicle autonomy, and legacy system upgrades.
Specifically, the Project Systems Engineering Lead (PSEL) leads a technical team in the development and demonstration of cutting-edge technology for the US Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC), located at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren, Michigan.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ideal candidate has an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness with the ability to apply and/or develop highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts in support of the Army’s mission.
The Project Systems Engineering Lead (PSEL) uses their experience in a broad range of Systems Engineering principles to lead the execution and delivery of engineering work products. The PSEL applies systems engineering processes, methods and tools over an entire project/product lifecycle of hardware and/or software programs. Specific areas of responsibility include: stakeholder and mission needs development, concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, alternative analysis, system architect development, system design and analysis, interface and data architecture definition, system integration, system and operational performance analysis, validation and verification planning, lifecycle cost analysis and estimation, decision analysis and resolution, risk management and providing systems engineering leadership in program and technical reviews.
The successful candidate has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to lead systems engineering efforts on complex projects/products, and the ability to successfully execute several program efforts simultaneously.
