Description

SAIC is seeking a seasoned project manager and/or systems engineer with agile experience to support the United States Space Force - Space Systems Command - Special Programs Directorate in El Segundo, California, which equips our warfighters with space control systems to gain, maintain, and exploit space superiority. This directorate leads the planning, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment of a complex and dynamic portfolio of space superiority capabilities of the highest national priority. The position requires an individual with strong technical project management skills and experience in the space control mission area. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, team skills and DoD Program Management experience. They will be expected to continually balance and adjust work priorities to meet short deadlines and rapidly evolving customer needs.
 
Duties Include:
  • Provide technical project management support enabling the Government to execute agile programs, oversee software development, and field systems and applications.
  • Establish and define program planning requirements; monitor and report on contractor performance given technical, cost, and schedule objectives
  • Draft technical evaluations and function as advisor in source selection activities
  • Facilitate and enhance program management and related processes throughout Program Office
  • Support Government and contractor reviews to assess progress, risks, issues, and metrics and provide the Government with timely decision data.
  • Ensure logical and systematic conversion of program requirements into total solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant discipline and 14+ years of technical project management, systems engineering, or Agile/DevSecOps software development activities
  • An active TS/SCI clearance with willingness to consent to a polygraph examination
  • Must be able to interface with all levels of functional/division acquisition offices to accomplish projects for the government program office
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
