SAIC has a contingent job opportunity for a Navy (DRRS-N) Software Engineer. This position will be located in Norfolk, VA and is contingent upon contract award.

The Software Engineer will:

- Perform software engineer services for the Defense Readiness Reporting System – Navy (DRRS-N) Family of Systems (FoS) and initiatives including Global Force Management (GFM); Innovative Readiness Reporting Initiative (IRRI); CNI Shore Pillar Feed II; Navy Readiness Reporting Enterprise-Business Intelligence (NRRE-BI); Navy Readiness Dashboard (NRD); Navy Training Information Management System (NTIMS); Navy Reserve Readiness Module (NRRM); Personnel, Equipment, Supply, Training, Ordnance, Facility (PESTOF) Pillars; SORTSREP Message Portal (SMP); Navy Energy Usage Reporting System (NEURS); Common Operational Picture-Enterprise (COP-E); Navy Readiness Reporting Interoperability Framework (NRRIF); Enterprise Secure Token Service/Single Sign-On; and Organizational Force Structure Construct (OFSC).
- Duties may include designing, analyzing, planning, modifying, and maintaining software for DRRS-N associated networks and network components.
- Define software development approaches, develop software development plans (SDP), implement software solutions, and provide software lifecycle support.
- Perform system requirements analysis and functional requirements definition. Provide high-level designs of application software and data interfaces.
- Recommend software development approaches that describe program modules, classes, objects, databases, graphical user interfaces, and reports needed to implement application program functional requirements.
- Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate to difficult scope and complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of the variety of factors.
- Contributes to completion of specific programs and projects. Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources.
- Internal company to inter-organizational and outside customer contacts.
- Contributes to or represents organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
- Understanding and application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines.
- Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives.
- Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance.



- Clearance Level Must Possess and maintain: Secret

- Experience with Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRSS)
- Meet current Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) certification requirement for privileged access, including CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent or higher level certification)
- Applicable network and/or operating system certifications.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution, plus two (2) years or more related experience; Masters and 0 years related experience
