Science Applications International Corporation is seeking a talented Sustainable Energy Planner with professional experience to join our Shalimar, Florida office. We have exciting and growing opportunities to analyze and plan for energy generation, distribution, and monitoring of large facilities as well as cost benefit and sustainability analyses of new construction and renovations. Additionally, we are adding energy sustainability analyses to our traditional physical and environmental planning functions. The position involves researching and interacting with diverse clients; writing planning documents and proposals; and participating actively in the business development and execution of planning, environmental analysis and design processes of federal, state, municipal and commercial properties. The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to operate independently. We are looking for people who think critically, communicate effectively, produce high quality work, facilitate solutions, see their work as a catalyst for innovation and positive change, work as part of a team, and manage themselves.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Prior experience with Army or Air Force and certification as a AICP, PE, or RA is desired. Candidate should have exceptional computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project and working knowledge of ESRI software.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: Master's degree in planning, economics, or a related engineering field. Must have experience with sustainable development that would be applicable towards AICP, or PE certification.
