Description:
SAIC's Mission Support Business Unit is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to support the development of policy and governance of IT related projects and programs. Candidates must currently possess a TS/SCI Polygraph security clearance. This position will be located in McLean, Virginia. (No relocation assistance available)
Responsibilities and tasks may include some or all of the following:
- Support all aspects of the evolution of the Intelligence Community Enterprise Architecture, to include technical assessments and technical requirements analysis to drive the design and integration of the ITE
- Assist with developing, integrating, and maintaining the Enterprise Architecture and segment architectures in support of the ITE
- Support all aspects of the current and planned future state of the lines of business (LOB): Acquisition Management, Financial Management, Human Capital Management, and Procurement Management
- Assist with aligning business operations to key decision-making events
- Assist with assessing the current state and defining the planned future state of each LOB
- Assist with developing and integrating a strategic vision, goals, and objectives for each LOB
- Support the development of enterprise plans, roadmaps, transformation criteria, and transition plans
- Support the development of mechanisms to implement improvements and efficiencies
- Support the promotion or sharing and reusing IT applications and solutions
- Support all aspects of the configuration management plan and processes for an ongoing initiative
- Assist with analyzing, assessing, developing, integrating, and maintaining roadmaps for key CIO activities
- Support all aspects of the current and planned future state of the Core user capabilities: Analytics, Collaboration, Enabling Services, and Search and Discovery
- Support the architecture and strategic design guidance of a collaborative sharing services program
- Support all aspects of internal IC CIO program integration efforts and provide support in the broader implementation of the ITE
- Support the analysis, communication, development, maintenance, and oversight of the strategic and tactical direction of the Enterprise Architecture data protection and Information Assurance requirements for the specified architecture segment
- Assist with the technical direction of the CIO, to include developing and implementing concepts for initiatives, identifying best practices to support the implementation of the initiatives, and the continued analysis, development, implementation, and integration of best practices, organizational objectives, and performance measures for the initiatives
Qualifications:
REQUIRED SKILLS:
The candidate must possess at least 10 or more years of experience with developing, implementing, integrating, and evaluating IC systems engineering-related projects.
DESIRED SKILLS:
PMP certification is highly desired. Desirable experience also includes: advising and consulting on IC reporting processes; experience working for boards and other working groups; conducting reporting and analysis that monitors and ensures progress; familiarity with IT architectures including cloud computing and virtualization; information security and assurance; business process engineering; portfolio management; and experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders to drive consensus and forward progress.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a closely related Engineering or IT discipline. 15+ years general systems engineering-related experience.
