Description:
SAIC's Mission Support Business Unit is seeking a Communications Specialist to support the development of policy and governance of IT related projects and programs. Candidates must currently possess a TS/SCI Polygraph security clearance. This position will be located in McLean, Virginia. (No relocation assistance available)
Assists with all aspects of strategic communications in the CIO Front Office. Assist with developing comprehensive communication guides. Support the development and management of key messages for stakeholders. Responsibilities may also include: coordinating communications activities, website content development, developing communication strategies, and tracking of marketing/communciation campaigns to evaluate results and provide recommendations. Involves comprehensive knowledge of this field and the ability to complete difficult and complex assignments. Requires the ability to operate independently and communicate effectively with customers internally and/or externally. Has complete understanding of the job and is able to develop and implement complex marketing/communications strategies.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED SKILLS:
The candidate must have 8 or more years of experience developing, coordinating, and implementing outreach activities. 8 or more years of experience with IC strategic communications procedures and protocols. 8 or more years of experience writing speeches and press releases.
Portfolio demonstrating the development and management of marketing/communications campaigns or internal corporate-wide databases, products, tools, training materials, or briefings.
DESIRED SKILLS:
10+ years of communciations experience in an advising and consulting capacity supporting IC programs is highly desireable.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications and 8 years of related professonal experience.
