Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION: SAIC has a career opportunity located in Chamblee, GA. In this position you will be working on a project for a large federal agency as a full time employee of SAIC. You will be responsible for product design changes and the effects of the overall system. Assist in documenting and tracking all aspects of hardware and/or software development and modifications. Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations. Prepares deviations and waivers for government approval when specifications cannot be met. Reviews all issued document change requests, document change notices and associated drawings for accuracy, completeness and proper signatures. May structure and maintain databases. Submits engineering changes to customers for review and approval; maintains records and submit reports regarding status. Prepares configuration verification audit record sheets for all programs. Involves comprehensive knowledge of this administrative field and the ability to complete difficult and complex assignments. Mastery of the job.
The Configuration Management Manager should have network configurations (Cisco) and Network Engineering expertise. You will provide network hardware and software design changes and the effects of the overall system. You will assist in documenting and tracking all aspects of network hardware and/or software development and modifications. Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations. Prepares deviations and waivers for government approval when specifications cannot be met. Reviews all issued document change requests, document change notices and associated drawings for accuracy, completeness and proper signatures. May structure and maintain databases. Submits engineering changes to customers for review and approval; maintains records and submit reports regarding status. Prepares configuration verification audit record sheets for all programs.
Qualifications:
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree and 6+ years related experience. In lieu of a degree an additional 4 years of relevant experience/education will be acceptable.
