JOB SUMMARY:
SAIC is building a team to provide IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT Systems. The VTC Technician / Scheduler will be responsible for scheduling, monitoring, maintenance, site creation and site management of all VTC Infrastructure Operations for secure (SIPR/JWICs) and non-secure (NIPR) sites. Requires experience working with demanding, high ranking customers and their staff. Candidate must be able to take full ownership of performance based taskings. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Schedules and establishes VTCs and conducts routine operational tests and fault isolation on VTC electronic systems and equipment.
•Optimizes system operation and resource utilization.
•Maintains and operates a wide variety of VTC equipment to include cameras, microphones, audio and video playback, recording, and duplication devices.
•Continuously monitors all component equipment and takes the appropriate corrective action for restoral to operational readiness.
•Update firmware and software of all equipment to ensure all IA certifications of equipment and sites are up to date per DoD requirements.
•Build a ‘ground up’ VTC site in a secure environment.
•Provides assistance to users in accessing and using systems.

Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience with secure VTC equipment operation. An additional 4 years of relative technical experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
•Currently possess a CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II baseline certification and a relevant computing environment certification.
- Currently possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Familiarity with DoD VTC regulations a strong plus.
•Technical certifications in VTC maintenance and operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Troubleshoot Taclane connectivity issues (both Ciphertext to Ciphertext and Plaintext to Plaintext) to include Security Association issues with Taclanes via GEM Management stations.
-Troubleshoot Network Security issues to and through McAfee Firewalls and Cisco ASAs.
-Troubleshoot WAN-side issues over the various black-side service providers (i.e. DTSPO, VSAT, CAN, and other IC providers.
-Troubleshoot perceived 'network' issues through all seven layers of the OSI stack to identify root cause analysis of problem and direct actual Service Queue Managers of the problems to resolve.

Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
-High School Diploma or equivalent and 12+ years of experience in installation and support of network telecommunications, including expert knowledge of network security. A bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline may substitute for 2 years of required experience.

Qualifications

Server Network/Systems Engineer specializing in Windows and Linux Systems Management in support of the Missile Defense Agency JIPCAN Program on the JRDC program in Huntsville, AL.

Server Network/Systems Engineer will primarily support the JIPCAN, isolated classified network, which is located in Huntsville, AL and Tel-Aviv, Israel with access points in Colorado Springs, CO and the NCR in Washington D.C. and test sites as needed. The Server Network/Systems Engineer will be responsible for daily operation of the JIPCAN environment to include network infrastructure, server administration to include VMware virtual environment, EMC SAN/NAS administration, McAfee AntiVirus administration, IAVA compliance, STIG compliance, workstation administration, backup administration and facilitating classified VTC activities. Server Network/Systems Engineer will be responsible for executing daily battle rhythms within the JIPCAN environment (check vCenter to ensure virtual environment is working normally, logon to servers and check event logs, check Networker logs) as well as patch all servers and workstations, utilize DISA Gold Disk for IAVA compliance, apply any upgrades as necessary for Windows, monitor the VMware ESXi/vCenter infrastructure and make performance optimizations as needed. The Server Network/Systems Engineer will work Sharepoint Design/Deployment and migration. The Server Network/Systems Engineer will facilitate the scheduling of any JIPCAN related VTCs and assist with providing information to update the DIACAP package for JIPCAN. The position will support non-standard applications DOORS and perform any necessary data management activities (setting file permissions, creating shares, etc.) managing all aspects of the Active Directory environment (user accounts, computer objects, print servers, group policy, DNS, sites and services, replication). The Engineer will be expected to travel to any location where the JIPCAN environment exists as requested by the customer or as needed for maintenance activities. The Server Network/Systems Engineer will be required to coordinate efforts with DISA and/or the MDA Infrastructure team when working network related issues. Primary duty hours fall within 0700-1600 CST, Monday-Friday. Must be able to work alternate shift (2300-0800 CST/0700-1600 GMT+2) and weekend hours as necessary to support implementation, troubleshooting and testing requirements. Other server management related duties may be required.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related technical field and 6+ years relevant experience. Candidate must have an active DoD TOP Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain. Must have a strong networking background with an emphasis on security. Must have a strong analytical background with accompanying troubleshooting skills. Experience using Remedy software needed both for submission of trouble tickets on behalf of customer and tracking issues. Strong communication skills also required. DoD 8570 trained at the Security+ level at a minimum, or the ability to obtain Security+ within 60 days of hire.

Previous work experience as a Windows/Linux System Administrator supporting a large Enterprise with knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Windows 2003/2008, Linux/UNIX Operating Systems, COMSEC/TACLANE, EMC Storage, EMC Networker and SCCM Patch Management solutions. Essential qualifications for a successful candidate include an ability to quickly adapt to new situations, a strong commitment to a team environment, a capacity to work with little supervision and the willingness to learn new technologies.
