The Defense and Maritime Solutions Business Unit of SAIC has a current opening for Marine Mammal Assistant. JOB DESCRIPTION: Personnel performing this position will be required to perform preparation of rations, and cleaning of food preparation areas, animal enclosures and commons areas, as well as maintaining and cleaning specialized equipment. Personnel are also responsible for the operation and maintenance of small watercraft. Personnel perform feeding and administration of food supplements, perform observation of marine mammals, and assist with basic husbandry. The personnel in this position may be trained to become a designated secondary handler for specific animals. This position will require scuba diving. Advanced scuba skills are a plus. As part of an integrated military function the MMA1 performs tasks related to the care and training of marine mammals for specific marine mammal projects. Job will require working outdoors, on boats in adverse weather conditions. All new hires will have to pass a swim & dive test in addition to possessing at minimum, a basic scuba certification. Personnel must be able to work flexible work hours (shift work) including weekends and holidays. A requirement for this position includes the ability to travel with animals for extended periods of time anywhere in the world, to include potentially harsh environmental and high risk locations, within 72 hours’ notice.

Qualifications:
Qualifications: Basic SCUBA, High school diploma (or equivalent), and one of the following:

One (1) year animal training experience

Operational and navigation experience on small boats (30’ or under), USCG license (operator of un-inspected passenger vessels/6pac – 46 CFR 10.467) or higher/U.S. Navy Coxswain’s certification, and Operational experience using maritime navigational devices

Advanced scuba diving certifications (i.e. dive master, instructor, commercial diver certification, 1st or 2nd class Navy Diver classification), and current First Aid and CPR certification,

This is an independent duty position to embark aboard US Navy Ships/deploy with US Marines and act as the Unit/Ship/Shore station Supply Officer’s principal advisor for Packaging, Handling, Storage, & Transportation (PHS&T,) electronic Repairables Management System operations and reverse logistics Supply Chain knowledge and procedures related thereto.

Duties: Provide coaching, mentoring, and education in PHS&T and supply retrograde procedures to the USN/USMC Supply section (Naval and Marine Aviation, Maritime and Ground Marine) to include all material condition codes of Depot Level Repairable (DLR) and Secondary Repairables (SECREPS) ,asset processing, packaging and protection support and assistance, process improvement, documentation, and operational reporting. Individuals will independently determine the PHS&T discrepancies and inefficiencies and identify necessary remediation requirements.

Develop and implement necessary POAMs to correct/improve current activity practices recommending improvements to the Military chain of command. Provide expert advice in the areas of PHS&T techniques, resource support, facilities layout, and utilization, packaging materials and equipment, handling including container utilization, storage, transportation, and retrograde system infrastructure. Monitor and analyze assigned unit/ship/shore station’s eRMS database and supply posture to ensure 100% carcass accountability, minimize additional damage to repairables during transit, and provide for efficient and accurate In-Transit-Visibility (ITV)/proof of delivery. Document program activities, establish logistics guidance, conduct supportability analyses, establish support concepts, and provide the continued planning necessary to ensure effective and economical support for the program.

Qualifications:
Extensive travel required.

Required skills: Minimum twenty years work experience as a Storekeeper or Aviation Storekeeper (Logistics Specialist) with Navy or as an Aviation Logistics Marine with experience in PHS&T Logistical Readiness, Transportation management, customer service operations, training support, hazardous materials, and process review support.

This position requires prior enlisted military service and experience as an E-8 or above with Naval Supply experience developed in multiple afloat and shore tours in Navy supply /Marine Aviation supply operations and minimum of 20 years experience.

Candidate must be physically capable to deploy on Navy ships and remote locations to support Marine logistics operations. This position requires the candidate to analyze logistical trends and requirements, and to possess knowledge of current PHS&T methodologies.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The qualified candidate will oversee support for garrison radio battalion elements, with the ability to evaluate existing systems, design solutions and make recommendations for internal and enterprise architecture improvements. Assists with the integration of Marine Corps SIGINT systems into garrison and deployed networks. Provides system administration training for Marines performing systems administration duties.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The Network Engineer is responsible for full planning, support and implementation of security policies for SCI networks for Marines and Civilian personnel CONUS and OCONUS.
• Responsible for design and migrating the customer databases, refreshing the hardware and replacing the existing LAN infrastructure.
• Ensure that the network is up and running and provide solutions for Windows and Linux-based operating systems and software on client and server machines.
• Provide formal training to Marines on daily system administration and network management.
• Evaluate existing network (hardware, software, LAN/ WAN, and security) and make recommendations to senior management for enchancements.
• Will oversee On-site and remote system administration, networking principles, and system support procedures.
• Assist Information Assurance Officer with maintaining Certification & Accreditation and will be in charge of oversight, compliance and reaccreditation of customer hardware.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5+ years related experience.
• Formal 2651 MOS training
• Requires appropriate DoD 8570 Level III designated position which requires, at a minimum, one of the following certifications: CISA, GSE, SCNA, CISSP or GCIH. MCITP-SA is also highly desired.
• Exceptional oral and written communications skills
• Ability to work independently, with minimum direction required
• Requires TS/SCI Clearance AND ability to obtain a poly. No exceptions.

DESIRED SKILLS:
• Working knowledge of client and server software interaction, web-based application design and support, intelligence software applications.
• Experience with WAN or LAN administration, Linux, Windows Server 2003, IIS, and LDAP administration.
• Experience with tactical systems and a network environment is preferred.
• Experience in the DOD intelligence environment or equivalent government agencies, with field level experience preferred.

Language Analyst to support the Marine Corps Intelligence Schools (MCIS), Intelligence Training Enhancement Program (ITEP) program at Marine Corps Base, Kaneohe Bay, HI.

Scope of Work: Individual will perform as an Instructor/Developer at the 3rd Radio Battalion, Kaneohe HI, facilitating the development and instruction of the Marine Corps’ Tausug Global and Cryptologic Training Courses of Instruction. The individual will assist in continuous improvement and maintenance of a Basic Tausug Global and Cryptologic Training Course; material which includes updating current course curricula to include relevant mission requirements and data. The individual will apply their experience with the Tausug language, other Filipino dialects of interest, and the mission environment to enhance applicable Marine linguists’ abilities to perform duties as a Cryptologic Language Analysts in support of OEF-Philippines. The individual will teach Marines the skills required to quickly scan and accurately translate mission related material and write pertinent reports such as a gist, summary, transcription and full translation within a designated amount of time. The individual will be required to instruct the Marines on how to approach material containing unfamiliar subjects, relate ideas through cultural assessment and understand inferences intended by a writer or speaker. The individual will be required to develop and update lesson plans as additional material and content becomes available and perform Quality Control. The individual will also act as the Subject Matter Expert for Filipino dialects within the Intelligence Training Enhancement Program – Language, requiring occasional attendance to professionalization conferences and briefing Marine Corps training programs. Must possess ability to instruct/provide instruction/training on graphical language material, or attend training IOT gain proficiency in graphical Filipino dialects. Must be able to provide a basic level of conversational Filipino, in various dialects.

Location of Work: All work will be performed at 3rd Radio Battalion, Marine Corps Base, Kaneohe Bay, HI with occasional travel requirements

Requirements: Individual must have a 3/3/2 or higher on the latest version of the Defense Language Proficiency Test in Tagalog and a 2 Oral Proficiency Interview rating in Tausug within the last year. Candidate must possess the ability and willingness to undergo Filipino dialect training as required by 3rd Radio Bn. It is desired that the individual have previous experience as an instructor or instructor/trainer. Individual must possess a fully adjudicated TS/SCI clearance and a current CI Polygraph. Individual must be familiar with MS Office and all of its components and it is preferred that the individual have previous experience utilizing currently fielded SIGINT processing systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Navy- Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) Assistant Contract

Technical Representative (ACTR) provides technical support for our Navy customer. The NMCI ACTR will assist in seat management for the Navy- Marine Corps Intranet customer support services, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and/or training, in response to customer requirements. Specific tasking for this position includes the following:

· Provides technical support to the NMCI CTR by interpreting and or supporting

the Customer with various computer issues, including technical work completion

validation to the NMCI CTR.

· Provides technical input to CTR for preparation of the final report on Contractor

performance for the applicable task order in accordance with the procedures

prescribed by the CTR.

· Provides technical input to CTR for invoice approval.

· Supports CTR in drafting PWS for projects.

· Provides for training and implementation assistance, and reviews/prepares

recommendations concerning waivers of mandatory standards.

· Recommends the need for changes in agency policies or procedures.

· Prepares requests for local Moves/Adds/Changes (MAC) and submits to CTR

for approval.

· Reviews MAC to validate accuracy of system migration and updates of the

performed MACs.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associates Degree or at least 4 years of IT experience in lieu of degree. At least 2 years working with Navy IT Systems in an NMCI environment.

Must have an active Secret Clearance.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Knowledge MS Excel and MS Word.

- Experience working with NET.

- Experience working with sreForms (MACS) and NMCI CLIN structure.

The job of the Database Administrator is to design, build, deploy and manage all databases as requested by the customer. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Qualifications:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

In this role, the candidate will provide engineering support and engineer solutions to complex tasking for a variety of MOD customers. Tasking examples:

- Operate and maintain marine deck equipment including Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs), Electro-Hydraulic Winch Systems and PLC-based machinery control systems.
- Perform assessments of hydraulic system designs and performance characteristics, and subsequently recommend design modifications or re-engineering solutions for improving system performance.
- Specify, install and program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for complex electro-hydraulic control systems.
- Troubleshoot onboard processors, power supplies, A/D converters, serial output modules, proximity switches, load cells and mechanical sensor systems.
- New-build system design and engineering will be required on a less frequent basis. For system design and new-build projects, the applicant must be able to interface with commercial and government customers to determine their requirements, generate requirement documentation and change orders, analyze procurement decisions (weigh the trade-offs between cost, specifications, requirements and schedule), design and fabricate one-offs or prototypes.

The applicant should also have the ability to respond rapidly to our customer’s travel requests, maintain flexibility in scheduling and possess a willingness to adapt to changes in project scope and technical responsibilities. He / she will travel to job sites / vessels in both the U.S. and abroad. These trips typically last 1-2 months, and may occur multiple times per year. As the crews for these jobs are comprised of small teams, often with customer representatives, it is paramount that the individual has good communication skills and displays professionalism at all times. While deployed team members will reside in tight living quarters necessitating an ability to adjust personal preferences and get along with others.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:

BS in Engineering and 4 years of applicable experience. The ideal applicant should be familiar with and be able to perform the following tasks:

- Complete understanding of hydraulic power systems engineering
- Perform electronic and PLC system troubleshooting
- Program and install PLCs
- Experience with collecting and processing data from equipment via ASCII serial communications.
- Perform Shipboard system integration and equipment mobilization
- Assist in offshore project planning
- Use machine shop tools – mill / lathe / drill press / hand tools
- Ability to routinely lift / carry 50 pounds. Able-bodied enough to get around a ship-board work environment – Go up and down ladders / stairwells, into confined spaces / etc.

Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (including MS Project), SolidWorks, AutoCAD & other engineering software as well as have a basic understanding of computer language & code writing a plus.

Desirable Education / Skills:

Non-engineering specialized skills and certificates are a plus (i.e. rigging experience, crane, forklift, and EMT). Hydraulic power equipment maintenance & operations class. Experience working onboard ship.
