JOB DESCRIPTION:

SAIC has immediate OCONUS opportunities for Predator Avionics / GCS Technicians positions based in Afghanistan. These positions have a quick deployment window - you must be able to begin pre-deployment training within 2 weeks of offer acceptance at Creech AFB, Nevada, and deploy within six weeks of offer acceptance. An active DoD Secret clearance is a requirement for this position.

Performs organizational level servicing, scheduled and unscheduled avionics and electronics maintenance on Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) including inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and analysis of aircraft avionics and electronic systems, subsystems, associated components, ground control stations (GCS), ground data terminals (GDT), Fiber Optic data lines with working knowledge of Fixed Site Satcom Terminal (FSST), Satcom Earth Terminal Subsystem (SETSS) ground satellite systems and test equipment. Applies program knowledge to implement and manage Communication Security (COMSEC), Foreign Object Damage (FOD), and Data Integrity Team (DIT) ancillary programs as required by Supervisor. Working knowledge of UAS unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, multi-meters, dial indicators, micrometers, and other special tools and equipment. Uses and interprets technical orders (TO’s) and technical data to apply basic and some advanced technical knowledge to identify, troubleshoot, and diagnose maintenance problems and determine appropriate corrective action.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Performs servicing and inspections on UAS aircraft, GCS, GDT, UAS systems, UAS sub-systems, Single Bay Station, ground satellite systems and related UAS equipment.

- Performs avionics and electronic maintenance tasks for aircraft, GCS, GDT, Fiber Optic, Single Bay Station and ground satellite systems to include launch, recovery, post- flight, pre-flight, thru-flight and periodic inspections.

- Removes and installs UAS/GCS avionics/electronic system components/cables (copper, fiber, etc.) and conducts functional and operational tests.

- Adjusts, aligns and rigs UAS/GCS avionics and electronic systems.

- Performs aircraft jacking, lifting, towing, and manual movement.

- Inspects and checks components for clearances, tolerances, proper installation and operation.

- Operates and inspects powered and non-powered aerospace ground equipment.

- Reviews and completes aircraft maintenance forms and enters data into the Integrated. Maintenance Data System (IMDS), responsible to ensure all data is accurate and complete.

- Prepares and submits material and product deficiency reports.

- Conducts on-the-job training for Technicians when directed by supervision.

- Occasionally required to lead teams through maintenance tasks.

- Complies with all COMSEC regulations and ensures the security of all cryptographic equipment and aircraft/GCS components at all times.

- Performs DIT analysis and corrective actions.

- Performs routine FOD inspections.

- Responsible to maintain a clean and orderly work area.

- Performs other duties as assigned or directed.

Qualifications:
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma and 2 to 3 years of Electronics System Maintenance experience (equivalent experience to USAF 7-Skill Level). Experience must include strong knowledge of basic electronics principles and theory and must be proficient with test equipment. Prior military experience strongly desired.

To be considered for this position candidates must:
• Be willing to deploy for rotations of at least 150 days, although longer rotations are also possible and desirable.
• Be able to obtain a passport or visa to travel internationally.
• Be willing to travel for long periods of time, work long hours and / or non-regular hours with minimal notice.
• Have a minimum active DoD Secret clearance.
• Be willing to work in Hardship and Hazardous locations as well as live and work in austere, hostile environment for extended periods of time.
• Have or be able to obtain a FAA Class III medical certificate or military equivalent.
• Must be able to successfully accomplish the CONUS Replacement Center course which requires a successful deployment physical, immunizations and training.

This position supports the daily operations of GCS’s networked to an Air Force RPA (Remotely Piloted Aircraft) Operations Center. Primary responsibility is to provide 24/7/365 organizational level maintenance tasks specified in AF Technical Orders (TO), pre and post-flight system configurations and managed the interface equipment for the various systems within the GCS. To include maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mission specific equipment such as subsystems, auxiliary communications and computer interface equipment within the Predator GCS’s. Responsible for maintenance data documentation for aircrew debriefing as required and provide daily equipment status, updates and required maintenance actions. Coordinate maintenance during downtimes or when mission impact is the lowest. Ensure all required parts for repairs are ordered and tracked. Complete and/or sign Exceptional/Conditional Releases IAW TO 00-20-1. Must track all pilot-reported discrepancies in IMDS and inform aircrew of corrective actions taken upon request.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline and 5+ years experience. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Excellent skills in verbal and written communication with technical personnel and non-technical end users and excellent problem solving skills. Experience with Air Force Maintenance Management policies and procedures required. Good customer service skills are a must and shift work required to support 24X7 operations. Job Description:

Plans and performs installation, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for communications equipment, and electronics equipment. Provides technical direction and guidance to lower level technical. Candidate will be responsible for onsite engineering support and servicing of an airborne system as well as depot level assembly, integration and testing of components.

This individual will:
- Participate with other mechanical, electrical, and software engineers on detailed design and development work.
- Provide support for engineering tests and integration of avionics and electrical components and systems.
- Perform engineering duties at customer sites, or OCONUS support post-delivery.
- Post Delivery support will travel to perform engineering duties at customer OCONUS location.

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- External BSEE degree (or equivalent 5 years experience) and 3+ years of work experience in research, installation and fault isolation of avionics systems, mechanical or electronic design and analysis, and product development.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Integrated Systems Group of SAIC has a career opportunity for a Principal Systems Engineer, located in Columbia, MD. The Principal Systems Engineer will work on a team does signals development and prototyping on emerging technologies. This team develops a wide range of prototypes with varying capabilities, complexity, and field deployment priorities. This effort supports the full spectrum of signals development in performing these requirements. Minimal travel is expected.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Conduct systems engineering and program processes.
- Design and analyzing processing and storage retrieval systems.
- Develop systems code as a secondary duty.
- Perform configuration management and quality assurance.
- Program systems in C, Bourne, TclTk, and SQL.
- Utilize knowledge of how C++, Perl, and Java work to solve challenges.
- Evaluate coding as it affects system development.
- Manage risk management and systems reporting.

Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph Clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field with 12+ years related experience.

Relevant experience may substitute: 4- Language Testing Requirements: All candidates will be required to take and pass a language test administered by SAIC via a government-approved commercial testing company. If the candidate passes this test, s/he will be required to take and pass the government-administered language test. - Experience deployed as a linguist supporting contingency operations
