The intent of this requisition is to fill a direct position working with a team of SAIC and government engineers providing software development and integration expertise of Army Soldier and Soldier support systems. A developer with 7-10yrs of experience is desired, we will not however rule out less seasoned developers demonstrating the correct skill set.

The engineer must be adept at understanding/deriving customer requirements and developing software designs/solutions. The engineer must be adaptable and patient with changing customer needs and be able to thrive in this environment.

The qualified candidate is required to be an expert with Java and C++ languages. LINUX expertise is required, with a desired understanding of Android architecture and App Components. Knowledge of LINUX/Android Kernel libraries and procedures for modifying the libraries is also strongly desired. Expertise with thread and memory management, allowing performance optimization in more constrained handheld computing operating environments is essential. The last critical item required for qualification is a strong configuration management background. The development environment includes multiple builds for different end customers, management of different development trunks, branching feature/defect upgrades and merging these back into respective trunks, etc. The developer must be able to immediately jump in and support the program lead in managing software builds.

US citizenship and an active secret clearance are required.

The Cyber Security Analyst will assist the Cyber Security COE with the evaluation of IT activities against IT policies, plans and procedures. Other responsibilities include:

- Work as the custodian for two separate automated work-flows responsible for registering and assigning risk on systems internal and external to the enterprise. Responsibilities :

Mentor/advise network engineers and security engineers

Manage process of maintaining and upgrading networks as well as design, development, integration, testing and implementing of network

- Manage, maintain and upgrade HP Network Automation Software
- Work with Network Engineers to automate mass configuration updates, IOS upgrades across Cisco Switches and Routers.
- Use APIs to produce custom reports.
• Manage and maintain Opsware, HP Network Node manager (NNM), Monolith for monitoring of network components.
• Manage, maintain and upgrade Cisco ACS
- Add / remove devices from Tacacs.
• Manage and maintain RSA Securid Application
- Issue / Revoke hardware and software tokens to be used for network authentication.

Qualifications:
Must haves:
• Good Unix/Linux/Perl/Python/PHP scripting.
• Good knowledge of Internet technologies and networking.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Discipline and 8 to 10 years of related experience – 4 years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

Nice to have:
• Experience with Network and Application Management Tools

Qualifications:
Bachelor's and 12+ years related work experience or 16 years experience in lieu of degree. At least 10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation or Federal agency. Should have experience in partnering with an executive team, and have a high level of written and oral communication skills.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Viral Oncology section (VOS) of the AIDS and Cancer Virus Program (ACVP) located at the Frederick National Laboratory in Frederick, MD, conducts multidisciplinary research on Kaposi Sarcoma Herpes Virus and other cancer-related viruses. Specifically, ACVP/VOS studies include 1) basic and applied molecular virology, 2) viral immunology, 3) viral pathogenesis and 4) epidemiology to better understand KSHV infection and KSHV associated malignancies.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful applicant will contribute to investigating virus and host genetic factors involved in virus transmission, pathogenesis and immunity.

Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Possession of a Doctoral degree from an accredited college/university in virology, molecular biology, microbiology, immunology or related discipline. Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.
- No work experience is required beyond the education requirement, however, candidates should have demonstrated ability to productively conduct scientific research projects in relevant or related disciplines.
- Experience manipulating biological specimens and cell cultures under BSL2* biocontainment conditions.
- Basic molecular biology skills.
- This position is subject to obtaining a Public Trust Clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in evaluating virus specific cellular immune responses, including immunohistochemical, immunofluorescence and flow cytometry based methods.
- Experience in molecular virology techniques.
- Experience with NGS and viral genomics.
