<item><title>Senior Hardware Specialist Job (Arlington, VA, US)</title><description><![CDATA[Senior Hardware Specialist   (Job Number:326017)<br/><br/><b>Description:</b><br/><br/><br/><br/>The National Security Sector of SAIC has a career opening for a Senior Hardware Specialist in Arlington, VA.<br/><br/>JOB SUMMARY:<br/>The Senior Hardware Technician/Specialist will join our team in supporting the G2 Army MI Enterprise (DA GAME) contact, which will provide IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT Systems for their Arlington, VA location.<br/><br/>PRIMRY RESPONSIBILITIES:<br/>&bull;Perform site hardware installation and maintenance support functions as part of a team of IT Systems Engineers providing Tier II level support.<br/>&bull;Installing and maintenance support of network infrastructures and peripherals.<br/>&bull;Troubleshooting and repairing all aspects of Information Technology Systems (ITS) hardware and peripheral equipment faults.<br/>&bull;Perform all Hardware Maintenance Technician duties, and have ability to operate the automated diagnostics system and to interpret diagnostics findings.<br/>&bull;Identify required spare parts, perform organizational procedures for dispatching spare parts/field service personnel, and provide technical assistance to responding field service personnel. Plans, executes, and provides recommendations for preventative maintenance as approved by government personnel.<br/>- Capable of proving recommendations on spares, spares program, planning, and tracking operational spares.<br/>&bull;Evaluate problems with network connectivity to include copper and optical fiber cabling.<br/>&bull;Perform LAN installation, adds, moves, and changes.<br/>&bull;Installing, terminating, maintaining and repairing Category 5e/6 copper and fiber optic LAN cabling.<br/>&bull;Provide leadership in small to medium-sized installation projects as assigned.
