Experience in Managing Projects and Track Record: Prior Project experience required, at least 5+ years experience working on projects or programs, with at least 2 years of successful task lead experience. The Technology and Enterprise Solutions Division (TESD) of SAIC has a contingent job opening for a Scott AFB, Java Developer to support a team to incrementally develop, deliver, and field reference data distribution applications in support of USTRANSCOM. An award is expected in June 2013.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Java Developer will be involved in supporting the development of web-base and client/server applications with:

- Secure software design and development

- Java Frameworks (e.g. Swing) and Portlet development

- Test Driven Development (TDD)

- RIA web-based application development

- Web services development and SOA design

- Graphical user interface design and construction

- Database data interaction methods

- Object-oriented development concepts and design patterns

- Experience with patterns (e.g. MVC, MVVM) to support rapid prototyping and development

Qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED and
Eight (8) years experience, to include: software design, development, and test and evaluation. Five (5) years programming experience with C4ISR Project programming languages. Four (4) years experience to include: Database
development, Web page design, Computer Based Training, development and using Java tools and Integrated Development Environments (e.g. Eclipse).

IAWIP Requirement: DOD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I certification required. A full list of qualifying 8570 certifications is available from DISA.

SAIC has an immediate opening to provide facilities project management support in the field of electrical engineering to the federal government. QUALIFIED CANDIDATES MUST ALREADY POSSESS A TS/SCI CLEARANCE with POLYGRAPH. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions to this requirement.

The project manager will be required to manage facilities projects from cradle to grave. The work will be based in the Washington Metropolitan Area; however OCONUS travel will be required to include hazard zones (3-5 trips per year ~ 14 days in length with the possibility of 90-day TDYs).

Job duties may include: Coordinate engineering and design activities in all phases of the project cycle of facilities-related projects; Develop a thorough understanding of the directorate’s program level requirements and strategic goals; Provide a direct conduit for communications and requirements between the main office and the deployed office or directorate; Manage the office or directorate level portfolio of requirements; Integrate and coordinate the project with field personnel; Prepare and distribute project communication with customers, management, integrated project teams, and stakeholders; Assist the CO and COTR with acquisition planning, execution, and administration; Collect requirements, prepare SOW, conduct market research, and develop other documentation, as appropriate; Conduct technical reviews and evaluate project solicitations, proposals, quotes, and proposed change requests; Review and approve shop drawings and submittals; Conduct pre-bid and pre-construction site visits; Validate invoices for partial or full payment; Assist in preparation of Contractor Performance Report (CPR) upon contract closeout

Work hours will range between 6:00am – 6:00pm; HOWEVER, work schedule will be set based on customer directed requirements. This position may require work outside the core hours on a case by case basis as required (nights and weekends) for operational necessities.

Qualifications

:
Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 7 years of Facilities or equivalent experience; demonstrated experience in coordinating engineering and design activities in all phases of the project cycle of facilities-related projects; Experience in commercial or Government facilities-related renovation of construction projects; Ability to work independently and as a team player; Ability to handle multiple, demanding, and complex projects in a timely manner with accurate results; Ability to work nights and weekends, as required, for operational necessities; Travel domestically or overseas, as required .

Desired Skills:

Licenses, and/or certifications preferred: Professional Project Manager. Knowledge of overseas diplomatic facilities standards is highly desired. Experience working in a classified environment; experience handling multiple, demanding, and complex projects in a timely manner with accurate results; ability to work independently and in team situations; highly motivated to continue to develop professional licenses, certifications, and expertise through formal training and on-the-job experience.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Typical Education: Bachelor's degree or higher (1). For research, development, system integration, or projects with high technical content, a B.S. in a relevant technical field may be required. For projects with lower technical content (e.g., services or transactions), a business administration or other degree may be preferred. Experience in Managing Projects and Track Record: Prior Project experience required, at least 5+ years experience working on projects or programs, with at least 2 years of successful task lead experience. SAIC PM Training: SAIC Core Curriculum or equivalency for Project Type 1: electives based on assessment. Certifications: PMP® or other certification (e.g. DAWIA) highly recommended.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Hardware Technician/Specialist will join our team in supporting the G2 Army MI Enterprise (DA GAME) contact, which will provide IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT Systems for their Arlington, VA location.

PRIMRY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Perform site hardware installation and maintenance support functions as part of a team of IT Systems Engineers providing Tier II level support.
•Installing and maintenance support of network infrastructures and peripherals.
•Troubleshooting and repairing all aspects of Information Technology Systems (ITS) hardware and peripheral equipment faults.
•Perform all Hardware Maintenance Technician duties, and have ability to operate the automated diagnostics system and to interpret diagnostics findings.
•Identify required spare parts, perform organizational procedures for dispatching spare parts/field service personnel, and provide technical assistance to responding field service personnel. Plans, executes, and provides recommendations for preventative maintenance as approved by government personnel.
- Capable of proving recommendations on spares, spares program, planning, and tracking operational spares.
•Evaluate problems with network connectivity to include copper and optical fiber cabling.
•Perform LAN installation, adds, moves, and changes.
•Installing, terminating, maintaining and repairing Category 5e/6 copper and fiber optic LAN cabling.
•Provide leadership in small to medium-sized installation projects as assigned. Customer service skills a must.

Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•High School diploma and 6+ years related experience maintaining IT equipment.
•Currently possess the DoD 8750 Certification at IAT II.
- Currently possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently possess the CompTIA A+ certification.
