<item><title>Instructor Opportunities Job (Anniston, AL, US)</title><description><![CDATA[Instructor Opportunities   (Job Number:327381)<br/><br/><b>Description:</b><br/><br/><br/><br/>SAIC has job opportunities for Healthcare, Radiological, Law Enforcement and HAZMAT Instructors for subcontract at the Center for Domestic Preparedness in Anniston, AL.  These are opportunities to work with SAIC on a Corp to Corp 1099 basis.<br/><br/>FEMA&#8217;s Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP), located in Anniston, Alabama, is the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS)'s only federally chartered Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) training center. The CDP began operations in June 1998 as the only all-hazards training center, offering training on Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) weapons. While the training tempo has increased dramatically, the CDP&#8217;s training programs provide the very best in advanced hands-on training for America's emergency responders.<br/><br/>JOB DESCRIPTION: Instructors will deliver disaster preparedness and response training to professional audiences through lecture and hands-on exercises. Instruction focuses on catastrophic events that result in mass casualty incidents and preparedness and response planning.<br/>Instructors are expected to maintain a knowledge base as a subject matter expert in the assigned course content. Instructors are also expected to actively seek and participate in cross-training opportunities as well as present current incidents in evening lecture(s) to maximize instructor resources and the overall training experience for student responders. Instructors are expected to travel in support of position requirements, and perform training duties as assigned.<br/><br/><b>Qualifications:</b><br/><br/> REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:<br/>Bachelor's degree (or graduate degree) in related field. Ten years (or more) of experience. Must possess instructor teaching certification, post secondary teaching experience, or teaching degree is required. Must have 3 years of current teaching experience. Must have all-hazards experience with man-made, natural disasters or weapons of mass destruction (WMD). Must have completed ICS 100/200/700/800. Must have working knowledge of federal response, NIMS, ICS, and HICS.<br/><br/>EMPLOYMENT CONTINGENCY: Due to Federal Contract Regulations, U.S. Citizenship required. <item><title>CBRNE / WMD Instructor Job (Anniston, AL, US)</title><description><![CDATA[CBRNE / WMD Instructor   (Job Number:326348)<br/><br/><b>Description:</b><br/><br/><br/><br/>The Integrated Systems Group of SAIC has a career opening a CBRNE/WMD Instructor to teach CBRNE/WMD and related courses at the Center for Domestic Preparedness in Anniston, Alabama.<br/><br/>JOB SUMMARY:<br/>This position will contribute to the strategic plan for the organization, work closely with the SME Course Leader to ensure seamless training delivery and periodically evaluate training delivery and recommend changes as indicated.<br/><br/>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:<br/>&bull;Conduct indoor classroom-style training in a controlled environment, as well as outdoor hands-on demonstrations and exercises in both the extreme heat and cold.<br/>&bull;Contribute to improvement of the toxic agent training experience through continuous research and training revision.<br/>&bull;Requires exposure to live agents; the CBRNE/WMD SME must supervise the doffing procedures for all same gender students exiting the hot training bays of the toxic agent facility which includes all same-gender students showering after each exercise in a military-style shower with limited privacy.<br/>&bull;Maintain knowledge base as a subject matter expert in assigned course content.<br/>&bull;Qualify and maintain eligibility/ certification under the Contractor Employee Reliability Program.<br/>&bull;Comply with supervisor assignment for entry (entries) into the COBRA (Chemical Ordnance Biological Radiological) Training Facility toxic agent training environment.<br/>&bull;Actively seeks and participates in cross-training opportunities to maximize instructor resources and the overall training experience for student responders.<br/>&bull;Assist with review of course outcomes to include weekly After Action Reports and ongoing QA/QC of course.<br/>- Participate in cross-training of instructional staff in related fields to maximize instructor resources and the overall training experience for student responders.<br/>&bull;Contribute to the revision of course materials and assist in the development, review and revision of policies pertaining to training delivery.<br/>&bull;Participate in lecture and practice exercises within the CBRNE/WMD field as assigned.<br/>&bull;Maintain knowledge base as a subject matter expert in the CBRNE/WMD discipline through training and continued involvement in field and maintain qualification to instruct in CBRNE/WMD related courses.<br/>&bull;Interface regularly with national, state, and local officials to maintain expertise in state-of-the art training techniques and methods.<br/>&bull;Ensure quality instruction for CBRNE/WMD related tasks in personal protective equipment (PPE) at a field training site using technology to detect, identify, and neutralize a weapon of mass destruction.
