SAIC is looking for a Network Support Specialist to join our team in supporting the G2 Army MI Enterprise (DA GAME) contact, which will provide IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT Systems for their Atlanta, GA location in support of the MIRC.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform installations, repairs and preventative maintenance of personal computer and related systems. Provide network monitoring; as well as, configuration and implementation of network infrastructure and peripherals.
• Typical responsibilities will include network health monitoring, managing network switch configurations, IAVA patch testing, and implementation of devices onto the network.
• Additional responsibilities may include assisting with network upgrades, site expansions, accreditations, and cable plant installations.
• Provide day-to-day technical support for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot desktop systems, workstations, servers, and network issues in a heterogeneous environment.
• Evaluate problems with network connectivity to include copper and optical fiber cabling.
• Perform LAN installation, adds, moves, and changes.
• Install, terminate, maintain, and repair category 5e/6 copper LAN cabling.
• Participate in development of information technology and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 3 years of related experience.
An additional four years of relevant technical experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree.
• Candidate must possess a CompTIA Security+ or an equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II baseline certification and a qualifying computing environment certification
• Positions require active TS/SCI clearance
• Outstanding customer service skills are a must
