Operational experience: none to limited Translation: Can accurately translate reports/texts in electronic and hardcopy formats that contain facts and some abstract language, showing an ability to capture intended implications and nuances. Can generally capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in text. Word choice and expression generally adhere to target language (TL) norms and means of expression specific to subject field(s) and are strong enough to allow translator to operate successfully in that field. Interpretation: Able to interpret accurately. Normally consecutive interpretation only is needed, but on rare occasions some basic simultaneous interpretation may be requested Has good understanding of one or more regional dialects. Transcription: Reviews audio and/or video materials, transcribes with high degree of accuracy and expression. Must possess excellent English-language written communication skills for preparing reports. Has good understanding of one or more regional dialects. POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is for a Persian Farsi or Arabic or Hebrew Language Instructor to be located at Ft. Gordon, GA . Instructors will conduct classroom, laboratory, local immersion, and specialized foreign language instruction for general proficiency and specific mission-related language skills. Instructors will provide language instruction in the all four language modalities – listening, speaking, reading, and writing – up to an ILR level 3 equivalent. Instruction shall be delivered to military forces of varying linguistic abilities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Instructors will use the core teaching materials provided and be able to prepare supplemental material to support the core curriculum. Instructors will assist in tracking and providing reports on student training. This may include preparing, administering, grading, and providing formative feedback on homework, quizzes, tests, and exams and maintaining records of this data for each student. Instructors will also report on the use of online training materials that are available through technology enhanced environments.

CLEARANCE: Minimum Final Secret

Triage Linguists will work in a dynamic team environment performing examinations of electronic data and documents for content in accordance with customer requirements and current standard operating procedures (SOPs). Triage Linguists will also work in teams to produce written reports of their findings and have the opportunity to interact with customer personnel. The Mission Support Business Unit currently is soliciting experienced linguist workflow coordinators in various languages to support a DoD customer in the National Capital Region (NCR). Workflow Coordinators will work in a dynamic team environment and ensure the efficient flow of source media and documents through the translation workflow process. Workflow Coordinators will create, maintain, and track project entries currently in customer systems and other translation tools. They shall import source materials, assign resources, and ensure the timely completion of all translations and are also responsible for recording and maintaining all metadata associated with processed media and documents. Workflow Coordinators will interact with customer personnel to report on the status of various projects and distribute completed gists and translations. Depending on requirements, Workflow Coordinators may also perform linguist duties to include triage, gisting, translation, quality control, data base use, and reporting. Workflow Coordinators may also be given the opportunity to participate in directed training to increase their mission related knowledge, understanding of various translation tools, and linguistic skills. This exciting position also has the potential to allow individuals, on a temporary basis, to work on specialized projects and/or deploy on worldwide assignments.

CLEARANCE: Must currently possess a minimum Final TS/SCI in JPAS. Current or recent DIA Access is a significant advantage and preferred. Must be able to pass a CI POLY and CI Interview.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Experience with linguist workflows, e.g. Deployable Harmony DOCEX Suite

- Ability to conduct and prepare accurate gists, translations, and/or transcriptions of general and technical materials

Qualifications:
The Linguist shall furnish linguist services in accordance with the categories and languages in the prescribed qualifications and requirements of those categories and languages.

CAT III linguists shall have minimum proficiency in the target language Interagency Language Round Table (ILRT) level 3 in listening and reading and an advanced working proficiency in English, ILRT level 2+, based on the current DLPT version for the specific language or comparable standard measurement. Exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis.

- Shall write and speak in clear and concise grammar and pronunciation of the SCRL and conduct training of the same.

- Shall provide idiomatic translations of non-technical material using correct syntax and expression from English to the SCRL(s) or vice versa and conduct training of the same.

- Linguist General Skills:

- Consecutive interpretation, into, from and between the required language(s);

SAIC is seeking experienced linguists in a variety of languages for a nationwide contract with Immigration and Customer Enforcement (ICE) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). We are seeking linguists who are native speakers of a foreign language and fluent in English to support anticipated federal contracts. Candidates must be able to monitor, translate, transcribe, and interpret communications in English and the source language. This work is project based and assignments can last anywhere from one day to six months. Most work is on average 30 days in duration and may require travel to various locations nationwide.

JOB DUTIES: All Linguists must be capable of performing the following duties that may be assigned at any time.

- (Monitoring (listening to), recording, translating, transcribing, and synopsizing the content of real-time oral communications intercepts.

- Transcribing from storage media, including but not limited to: audiocassettes, videocassettes or digital media, and typing in both the required foreign language and English.

- Preparing typed English translations from other source media

- Performing quality control reviews of completed work.

- Validating the accuracy of completed translation and transcriptions.

- Appearing in court when subpoenaed to testify.

- Interpreting oral conversations simultaneously.

SAIC is currently seeking SOF All-Source/HUMINT Intelligence Analysts, SOF Operations Integrators, and SOF Weapons Technical Intelligence Analysts to support the JIEDDO-COIC’s Special Operations support mission.

The selected candidates will research, compile, integrate, and disseminate all-source data focused in the specialized area of Global Irregular Warfare to support Special Operation Forces’ mission sets in response to national and theater intelligence priorities within the United States Central Command’s (USCENTCOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR), and other Combatant Command AORs as may be necessary.

Candidates will also perform the following:

- Perform training, link and social network analysis, geospatial analysis, CIED/COIN analysis, and responding to requests for support

- Develop, coordinate, facilitate, and perform asymmetric warfare and irregular warfare intelligence analysis and operations integration activities consistent with program requirements using state-of-the-art methodologies

- Provide analytical reach-back support to forward deployed analysts, including training support and integration

- Conduct operational analysis on insurgent organizations

- Apply state-of-the-art analytic technology to accomplish data mining, data fusion, predictive pattern analysis, geo-profiling techniques, and temporal analysis techniques drawing on (but not limited to) the Combined Theater - Analyst Vetted, Relational Structured (CT-AVRS) database, Palantir, Analyst Notebook, ArcGIS 9.3, Tripwire Analytic Capability, Multi-Media Messaging (M3), A-SPACE, Combating Terrorism Knowledge Base (CTKB), and INTELINK-TS/S/U

- Identify intelligence gaps, specify and submit collection requirements to collection manager and analysts

- Identify significant intelligence trends and propose new or revised analytical efforts to alert leadership to developments and meet customer needs. Analysis may focus on network structures, operational capabilities, technologies, and support to targeting

Qualifications

:
To be qualified for this position, the selected candidates must possess the following skills and abilities:

- Currently possess an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance

- High School, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience

- Senior-Level Analysts: 7+ years related experience as an intelligence analyst

- Principal-Level Analysts: 10+ years related experience as an intelligence analyst

- Working knowledge of U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), Naval Special Warfare Command (NAVSPECWAR), Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), and Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC) tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), and All Source Intelligence Analysis

- Experience integrating intelligence support into Special Operation Forces operations

- Experience conducting Irregular warfare, Counter Insurgency, Counter Terrorism analysis

- Experience with geospatial and data mining tools, such as CT-AVRS database, Palantir, Analyst Notebook, ArcGIS, Tripwire Analytic Capability, M3, A-SPACE, CTKB, and INTELINK

- Excellent research and writing skills are required

- Excellent briefing skills

- Position may require extended TAD/TDY to Afghanistan, or other areas of the world

Desired Skills and Abilities:

- Experience in socio-cultural analysis and pattern of life analysis

- OIF/OEF deployed experience

- Experience within the Special Forces or Special Operations Community across the DoD spectrum

- Experience with Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs)

The primary job responsibilities for an Interrogation Instructor will provide, but are not limited to:

- HUMINT Instructors develop and conduct doctrinally correct classroom instruction tailored to train HUMINT and Analyst personnel on advanced collection techniques and analytical skills focusing on the collection of intelligence from strategic-level interrogations at a long-term facility. Course content development/creation may include educational technology such as computer-based training (CBT) or web based training (WBT).

- Instructors also develop and conduct knowledge-based training focusing on an overview of Middle Eastern, Afghani and other regional cultural, geographical, and historical information with a focus on terrorist groups' methods of operation.

- Blocks of instruction to be incorporated into JAICC utilizing the adaptive learning model (constructivism) training techniques during class training and in the development of training scenarios, training plans, strategies, and in developing and updating lesson plans.

- Instructors must be thoroughly familiar with each role to realistically portray assigned roles, and develop roles as necessary.

- Provide doctrinally correct instruction and student evaluations supporting the Joint Analyst-Interrogator Collaboration Course (JAICC), (formerly known as the EAIT Course) as a Human Intelligence (HUMINT) Instructor/Writer/Role Player at Ft. Huachuca, AZ.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

A Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6+ years of related experience. Specific military experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Must have held a Military Occupational Skill (MOS) qualified as HUMINT Collector (97E/35M/351E/351M) or other service equivalent. 6+ years experience in the HUMINT field required. Must have a minimum one year experience in a range of assignments directly related to US Army or DoD Interrogation in an operational environment, preferably in the Middle East, GTMO, Afghanistan or Horn of Africa.

Must be physically capable of fulfilling all instructional duties delineated by the statement of work to include walking over rough terrain for distances greater than one mile and climbing at least one flight of stairs. Some work may occur in a field environment. Must have excellent oral presentation skills and be confident presenting and expressing themselves in English and meet oral and written grammatical guidelines in DA PAM 600-67. All applicants must possess interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students. Instructors shall possess current Instructor Training Certification (ITC). If hired without ITC certification, the candidate must complete the ITC certification process within the first 90 days of employment as the course schedule permits. Must possess an active SECRET Clearance and be willing to apply for a TOP SECRET clearance at the discretion of the client. Must be willing to submit to a polygraph and/or undergo an additional Subject Interview at the discretion of the client. -Must have a working knowledge of Windows XP/NT, and MS Office Products (Word, Outlook, Power Point and Excel). Must have no pending adverse actions, past actions or open investigations. Must possess working knowledge of the 2X concept and functions. Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time. Functional ability in one or more languages, preferably Arabic, Farsi, Dari or other OEF/OIF-related language Analytical experience, to include knowledge of JDIMS, Pathfinder, Analyst Notebook, Falconview, ArcGIS, OSINT, HDWS, or other current analytical tools
